I'm Plat 2 and this guy plays WAAAAY better than me...I think he could eeeeasily hit Masters with enough time and effort. His aim is up there with most masters player for sure. Dude has the potential.

3:20 Holy this is 100% true, I had this realization myself after having a loss streak that didn't feel like it was my fault. The truth was I was neutral, I didn't do anything to win the fight. I then worked on carrying more fights on Ana and it took me to top 500, I feel this advice is super underrated and miss-understood.
@pindy61096 ай бұрын
The best advice I’ve ever had is to just fucking forget about rank and focus on improvement. Watch your vods between games. Focus on what you did that was dumb, recognize why it was dumb, and stop doing that dumb thing. Eliminate mistakes and you maximize your success. By just getting better and not worrying about rank, you naturally climb.
@Godo_Support6 ай бұрын
@@pindy6109 that's it, you are only in control of you and the more you focus on yourself the faster you'll stop being hardstuck.
@pindy61096 ай бұрын
@@Godo_Support It was the fastest climb I've ever seen in my life. Went on a 90+% winrate to GM, then dropped to around 60% in top 500 until I peaked around 230 (and GM1, not early season stuff haha, though this was before the Champion rank update)

its all about consistency if you want to rank up. All it takes is just a few big mistakes or bad habits (no matter if your aim is masters+ level), to hold you back and keep your WR at 50% vs 60%. For example GM Bap players will NEVER make that mistake at that last fight in Busan OT (starting 28:50). Heck even Masters Bap players would not stay low ground in the open like that.

5 minutes in, his positioning is passable but not great, and he gives solid heals without feeding with decent cool down management. Ult usage is plat level but Sam showed him the way. He just needs to learn to weave dmg with his heals better and rip his ults more and he will climb.

The video title is more dramatic than what the video actually contains. I was expecting more angry Sam with things like "Needs a reality check" and "Roasts" in the title but this was pretty down to earth. Good video.

Dude how is this guy plat hes actually playing extremely well i thought he was at least diamond i have only seen the first game so far
@Porutake6 ай бұрын
I’m starting to think the game is so broken that rank doesn’t tell what people think it does. There’s more plat level payers in bronze and silver than it seems but the game is too inconsistent to climb out of and uses your quick play stats to preface the rank placements, so if you use QP to goof off then play placements you lose out, you could win 10/10 games and it’ll be like “bronze 1”
@iTrensharo6 ай бұрын
He's also playing against plats. If he were playing against people 3 divisions higher (Diamond 4'ish), it might have looked a lot different. HIs positioning was pretty mediocre, and he doesn't seem to track ults. His mechanics are good, though.

Wasn't it like 50 bucks to get Sam to watch the replay on stream? Pretty expensive knowing he's also doing content out of it. Don't like the series overall. Title is misleading, it was probably the softest "tough love" I've ever seen and first code was a shameless ego vod. No hate towards person suggesting it since he's paying. But yeah, most funny stuff probably won't appear here like on Emongg videos or similar channels.

Its sped up which might make the aim seem more "locky". Also landon plays like that in situations becasue he has too, hes quite literslly versus the best people in the world and has to respect that. If he was in a plat match he would likely 1v5
