Hey price! A little tip for you to use and bring back to the group! The booking desk now gives you extra money for how early you call the customers in, so it's more money especially in the easy early days! You can usually get 40-60 gold in the early days solo! Definitely something worth checking out to get that early money!

@Carl S I'm hoping to start soonish, but life has been extremely stressful right now so I haven't had the energy to get everything set up
@btmikey19252 жыл бұрын
Also, regarding on day 2 when you pulled the toast early and it turned cooked, that's actually a thing programmed in the game! There's a tiny period right before it finishes where you can pick it up and it will automatically finish the process! Works with chopping things, cooking things, cleaning dishes, anything that has a waiting period like that!

Good run! a few tips to help you on your next runs solo or with stumpt: - you can put your bread in the sink and grab portion from that! You don't need to put your flour in the sink to make the bread after all. You just have to interact with it - you can put your rugs in the kitchen area and decoration effect will still apply! You can use them to avoid kitchen mess and with safety hob around, they will never burn (unless, microwave/oven accidents) I also agree franchising is mostly just to add difficulty and honestly most of the times it isn't as fun haha
@bekar_au2 жыл бұрын
One space saving trick for breakfast is to store the cooked loaf of bread in a normal sink, as you can portion off slices from the sink, and still have the ability/space to dunk flour in the same sink to create a new dough ball.
@bekar_au2 жыл бұрын
The flammable on the rugs is only a concern if you let something else catch fire first (i.e. a hob, oven or microwave). Until something else is on fire, the rugs are no more flammable than the kitchen floor protectors.

I don't think the customers are any different than before, in terms of sitting at a table with food already on it. I mentioned this on a previous episode, but here it is again: The reason why your diners seemed to be inconsistent about pre-covered tables is that they were assigning themselves to empty tables as they spawned (off-camera), but then you put something onto the table after they were already heading for it. Like how the "waiting in line" meter appears before they've reached the door, the AI is looking for empty tables WAY before the customer is ever visible to the player. So they DO avoid tables with food already on them, but they can have dibs on the table so far in advance that it LOOKS like they didn't care. =)

Great run! Would love to see you try to automate with a larger restaurant. I think you’d do really well and be able to go through with all your ideas
@Kahlan_Amnell_2 жыл бұрын
Yeah! I think that's the final missing ingredient for price's automachef restaurant. One of those huge blueprints so that price can fit all of his grabbers and smart grabbers into the restaurant!
@Kahlan_Amnell_2 жыл бұрын
I was really amused watching price-flash run around rearranging the restaurant 😄
@june12692 жыл бұрын
Your idea of looping the conveyors was good but it wouldn't have worked for this restaurant since it's too small. You'll be blocking the door and the pawn won't be able to go to the tables in the kitchen area. Maybe if you move the loop at the top left part, you might be able to do it and fit 3 tables?

I think you need larger floorplan to get smooth automation. Since you usually just serve last 2-3 customers, more grabbers on cleaning part (move dirty plates to sink + move clean plates to plates rack) will be more helpful rather than put it between a lot of tables. I believe 3-4 tables will be enough for this system. Larger floorplan, tons of grabbers, few soaking sinks, dirty dish rack, extra plates make auto-cleaning system perfect! Ordering terminal is useful when you have auto-serving system, not really helpful with auto-dirty-plate-grabbing system. Anyway, great to see you achieving OT2.

I’ve seen other solo players automate but it requires a bigger map. They usually use two tables combined for each party in order to run two conveyors through each group, one with just grabbers to cycle food through and one for smart grabbers that take dirty dishes through to the sink.

1:59:00 If this were live, I would of told you to put the bread in the sink to chop it... (Pretty sure I've seen Aenne or Jazzy do it on Stumpt)
@minecraftinchocolate2 жыл бұрын
I don’t know if you figured this out later in the video, but as of 0.17, normal grabbers will wait until food is done cooking to pull items off of hobs! So you don’t need smart grabbers to auto cook toast.
@stumptprice2 жыл бұрын
OMG I DID NOT KNOW THAT!!!
@minecraftinchocolate2 жыл бұрын
@@stumptprice I hope it helps! It's been the best cheat I swear. When I don't have a safety hob but I do have a grabber + prep station, I'll throw an item on a normal hob (like a burger) and then go away to do something else, and the grabber will just pull it off and put it into a prep station. It's not full automation without a safety hob but still! You can do a lot with just grabbers in this game.

I didn't have the chance to watch this video before but a +2 hrs run is great, I like how you changed your kitchen almost every day at the end of the video. Maybe you know this, but what you need for this circular sushi train is an Ordering Terminal, so you don't need to take they orders at their tables.

I think you needed to upgrade the Ordering Terminal to get them to automatically make their orders. Not 100% sure tho

Loved the episode!!! My only suggestion would be to not be afraid to ditch the microwave. When you have enough safety hobs it might make it easier if everything that your cooking on runs the same way. Just one less thing to worry about when the rush hits. Anyway Loved watching you zip around on the time laps

Price for your grabber automation after you got your second blueprint cabinet you should have put 1 grabber in each to make twice as many grabbers each day.
@8urcookie2 жыл бұрын
Hi Price. I'm wondering if you've tried (or heard of anyone who's tried) to see how smart grabbers interact with the dumbwaiters.
@ti3g3r20002 жыл бұрын
Ive been thinking that myself actually, can just quite get far enough to automate everything with the right, usually the day before id have a full thing automated sigh. I'd love to mess about with those though, this game really needs a creative mode or something so you can mess about with some of the appliances

Why not put all the tables in a line on the top wall and put your kitchen in the dining room and just feed all the toast in a line down? You would also be able to run the dishes back into the dining room next to the entrance door. You would keep the doors open for your guest and just run everything around the kitchen walls and you would be running the kitchen as normal. You would be able to it in more tables that way and they wouldnt be close enough to the hob or sink

I can never hear the background noises you mention. I just hear the music and game sound effects (even your footsteps xD). Living close to a highway must be annoying. Lol Price does nottt look at the blueprint desks. How many times has he said "I need this" and it appears on the blueprint desk, and then ignores it. It's okay, it's hard to notice in the heat of it, I just found it funny.
