"wrong instrument, wrong bowl, wrong everything, but we got there" 😂😂 Your commentary had me 💀 Lol.. Just bought this one, so thanks for the tips..

Hahahah I am so glad you liked it! You should see me actually trying to cook in person, it's like watching someone try to tie their shoelaces with a fork.

Hey man, really underrated channel. Very much appreciate that you test out this Kmart sorta stuff that poor people like me can afford haha. Think i'll get one!

Hey friend, I greatly appreciate your comment - thank you! I love cooking, but I'm a cheapskate, so thought it worth while. And if something turns out sub par, I of course spend more money and will test something better. I actually use this a lot now, but just note that as demonstrated, it's a bit dicky putting the drawer back in. I just found it best to hold it firm and against the top as sliding. Otherwise great!

I agree! I also really appreciate the review, been sitting on the fence for quite some time but think I'm ready to woman up & do this! Thanking you muchly! All the best for 2022! Looking forward to seeing more reviews from you 🥰

@@velltangi1953 Thank you very much for the lovely words. If yours has the issue where it does not close smoothly though, as you saw mine did once, SWAP IT OUT. It only gets worse! Happy Friday!

BEFORE USING: You are supposed to wash it. Am about to use it for first time today. You could cut up all sorts of vegetables: tossed with oil and seasoning in a bowl first and then drop into the air fryer basket and just cook them - you'll get some nutrition from the veggies that way. 😊 GOOD TO GET A COOKED TEMPERATURE THERMOMETER to check if the meat is cooked through but not overcooked and dry, just to be safe. Best wishes to you

Good reminder! And yeah that sounds delicious. Very good point re the thermometer; I use mine often when cooking large meats!

Omg your the best . I’m sitting here with my 93 year old manna and we are laughing our heads off. But we will use it now after it’s been sitting in her wardrobe for 1 year. I don’t know why someone thought a 93 year old would change her ways. We will see lol. Can I ask what else can we cook a egg in if we do do that
@platima Жыл бұрын
Hahah I am so glad to hear it. I do not recommend eggs! Eggs are best in frypan, boiled, or poached. Enjoy!

I wish it came with a deep pan as well, so I can oven fry with sauces

Hello, firstly you should have washed the basket and then turn the appliance on for approximately 10 minutes to rid any odour from manufacturing. Just thought I would let you know, although it is too late because you have already cooked your food.😊
@platima5 ай бұрын
Yes but when I eat I want to taste how fresh the appliance is, not just how fresh the food is 🤣 (I usually give it a quick wipe down one way or another, even if not on cam, but may have missed this one - I don't recall exactly)
@bennajjackson741510 ай бұрын
Dumb question! But how do you turn it on? I plugged mine in and can’t find the switch or button lol i hope its not faulty 🎉
@platima10 ай бұрын
Hey not dumb at all - no button, it can be dicky to close though. Just plug it in, turn it on at the wall, put your foot in, set the timer and the temp (both are required), and slide the tray in. Once the tray is fully in, it starts. If it's faulty they should just replace it straight up, but for me it was usually trying to close the bastard!

Great video. How loud is the unit and does the outside casing get too hot to touch. Thank you
@platima Жыл бұрын
Hey many thanks. The outside plastic is pretty much always fine - the air vent area gets very warm, but not 'hot' in my opinion. All air fryers are loud. Hard to compare. I would say this is a little louder than the Instant Pot Vortex 10L, but not hugely. Want a dB measurement mate? Cheers

Hi Good review thanks for sharing. I almost bought that very unit today. But since I do a lotta baking of bread, I wanted to have an oven that can fit two bread tins. I am guessing you have had this now for a while, has it stood the test of time? How big of a pain is it clean?
@platima Жыл бұрын
Not a problem at all! This Kmart one was my go to for about a year, being used multiple times per week. It never failed, and the only reason I stopped using it is because I got this one kzbin.info/www/bejne/g32wlGupaZJ4l9E Cleaning wasn't hard at all!
@redknight3439 Жыл бұрын
@@platima The reason I ask is that the Toaster oven I had, there was hardly any at all, Always used tinfoil and baking paper, with the occasional wipe of the interior Its good to know it lasted the test of time. my old one was used multiple times daily so ya... Thanks for responding, and the insight.
@platima Жыл бұрын
@@redknight3439yeah definitely good to do for longevity, but as long as you wash it each time it shouldn't be too bad either!

Our anko air fryer suddenly switch off while using it, Unfortunately it is not working anymore. Is there a chance to fix it?
@platima2 жыл бұрын
Quite possibly! There are a few things that can cause that. I'd take it to a local electrical repairer. Most towns have one, and I do not think it would cost much to fix, HOWEVER, it might still be cheaper to buy a new one.
@mukkyoraka6460 Жыл бұрын
I find it very difficult to lock my anko air fryer. It makes me bang it but to no avail. It makes using it so difficult and I go months without using it. Is there a way around This?
@platima Жыл бұрын
Hey yeah it drives me mental but I've started to get used to it. 1) slide it in a bit, 2) make sure it's aligned straight, 3) lift it upwards as you slide it home. Do that a few times and you should get used to it. Mainly I think it fails if its resting as you slide it, as upward lift seems to really help, but if its not straight it does't line up either. Such a pain!

Does any one else have the electrical plug getting warm with is air fryer?

Should not happen, and likely indicates a fault. I would strongly recommend taking it back immediately!

If you set the time for too long and your food is done cooking before the timer is done, is there a way to turn it off? I can’t seem to twist the timer back to 0 or anything and there’s no off button
@platima2 жыл бұрын
Just twist the timer - I do it all the time. It is a tad stiff, but its designed to do that :)

the oil instructions are at the beginning of the book under warnings. No oil to be used as can catch fire.
@platima2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely not wrong my friend! But it's the same when grilling (broiling) things. They just have to put that there for safety. Yes, there is definitely always a risk. But food without oil tastes crap 😅😅
@vittotav2890 Жыл бұрын
More like an enclosed hot air gun fryer or enclosed high heat hair dryer oven, but I guess with a name like either of those it would be really hard to market & sell. Also that handle releasing locking mechanism is very badly designed & easy to break because it’s very weak plastic handle
@platima Жыл бұрын
Hahah yeah, they seemingly came out of nowhere with this new "air fryer" concept hey? And very true re that locking mechanism. I am so close to just snapping it off
