PLATINUM BLOND BALAYAGE | 5 Hour Color Correction | Brit Terhufen

This color correction/hair tutorial shows how to safely transition a golden blond to a platinum blond. My client has fine hair, Level 7 natural regrowth with previously lightened midlengths and ends. This color correction took 5 hours and 10 bowls of lightener to achieve, which really shows how much work and time it takes to achieve platinum hair safely, even when you're starting with an existing blond canvas!

Hi, thank you! I did this tutorial over two years ago so I don’t remember the exact measurements for the formulas. As far as timing, since her ends were somewhat porous, I left the toner on until it reached the desired tone. So this would be different for every client depending on the condition of their hair and what they lifted to.

I did this over two years ago and have since had price increases. So I don’t remember what I charged then! If I did this color today, I would charge $375.

It depends on the hairstylist you see. I charge hourly and my current rate is $75per hour for normal services and $100 per hour for color corrections. So this color correction took five hours so it would cost $500.
