I love the Platinum machines. I have both the new large and the small models although my old ones still work perfectly. The only thing I have ever had to due is to tighten the handle occasionally. The white and platinum color is very clean looking. My choice is always a manual machine and of course it has to be one of the models from Spellbinders.

I just received my new Platinum 6 machine. I have always used the Sizzix machines so this a switch for me. Anyway, I tested it out yesterday with some MFT dies and it was VERY hard to roll through the machine, then made a loud thumping sound at the end when it was through the machine. I checked and double checked that my sandwich was correct. That doesn’t seem right to me and I certainly never see that happening in any of the videos I have watched. Is it possible that my machine is “off” somehow? Sorry if that explanation was confusing😂

Mine is new as of today (13.1.24) and surprisingly NOT used as yet (several hours after receipt!). I know, right....I can't believe it either :-). But seriously, I would think that your experience does appear awry. Can't think what MTF dies are though, so can't comment much further. It has usually been embossing folders and particularly the 3D sort that has caused me grief in the past, not dies so I am perplexed for your too. I hope it comes right because it is never good that VERY hard comes into the equation :-).

I have the correct sandwich but it gets about a quarter into the machine and won't go any further. I'm afraid to be heavy handed as I'm afraid of breaking the Machine.
