The neck isn't a polycap though. They went through the trouble of making a unique neck joint for this kit. The waist joint is pretty similar to the HGCE Infinite Justice's. Glad Bandai is taking features from its more premium kits and adapting them for cheaper ones.

@@MechaGaikotsu reminds me of how the Gundam the Origin kits are done that way in terms of head articulation. All four kits that I have from that series: RX-78-2, Zaku II Red Comer Ver, Zaku II C-6/R6, and MS-04 Bugu [Ramba Ral] have the ball+hinge combo for the head.

Went through the trouble? Company man much? It's far easier to do this, hence the cheap price of the kit. PC joints are way more expensive to engineer as you're dealing with different materials and tolerances.

​@@WardenOfTerraYou literally get the neck polycap as a leftover part with this kit, so Bandai had no other reason to make a plastic version of it. One of the advantages of polycaps is that the runner can be reused over and over again, making it a cheap way to standardize joints. If you're going to attempt to correct someone, you should make sure your point makes sense and not be rude about it.

Tip: Get a silver or ex silver gundam marker, pour it onto a container, and paint the head area behind the visor with small brush

This is a great tip. I do it with all my GM types and most kits that have "visor" type faceplates. (With the natural exception of kits like the Pale Rider that have an actual face under the visor.)

I've done this with a number of kits, especially behind the "eyes" and on the 30mm kits, it makes a huge difference and can really make certain areas "pop!"

Really hoping they do a release of an HGCE Dark Dagger L, rocking the black and red color scheme and yellow visor. They already announced the Neo Roanoke colors for the HGCE Windam, so having the alternate colors for the Dagger L would be awesome.

They sorta actually did with the M1 Astray (Which is better than the older HG Seed Kits and as good as the Red, Gold and Blue Frame) Murasame needs a revive, and the Strike Dagger deserves better

The difference between the Strike Dagger and Dagger L is aside from being a successor to the former- it has an improved software for piloting by Natural pilots and allows for use of striker packs by regular forces which was provided before exclusively to ace pilots and special operation groups

I have to say having built 7 hg kits this far, Dagger L has been the best one. Even though it was a fairly simple build it was a very well thought out one and by far the most solid out of all the ones I own. Design wise it comes in at a close second to the Leo which for me has the perfect "real" mech vibe to it. The Leo also wins in the detail category because it has over all more panel lines and small details. None the less the Dagger L is a great little hg! Next up is the hg Heavyarms and I can't wait to see how it stacks up against the rest. Thanks for the review Mecha G. Keep em coming !

I find it kinda funny in that, Bandai's advertisement is essentially them trying to sell you nuclear weapons. Not literally of course. But the Multi Striker Pack that's seen on the box was used to launch a nuclear strike on the PLANTS in Seed Destiny. And from what I remember, the P Bandai set will have markings to show that on the missiles that come with the set.

You missed some movement in the ankle. If You move policap part attaching to the leg first and then the foot, it has a extra movement of leg to the front, which is actually a lot nicer.

Maybe a noob question, but how does the top coat work on these kits? Haha Worked at a body shop and we had to sand or scuff vehicles to put any kind of top coat on, do I have to do the same for the model kits? Or can I just spray it on and it'll just adhere to the plastic? The only reason I ask is that I live out in the middle of nowhere, and would have to order online... And they don't exactly have the best description, especially when I don't want to waste time and money ordering something that might not work

@@d34th5back id recommend not sanding the kits when your going to use just the top coat. The brand used in the video is specifically made to stick to gunpla plastic and doesn't need to any surface prep to work properly.

I don't have a GM yet, for one reason or another. This would make a good substitute. Also, still looking forward to your Gundam Zwei review, Mecha. Built the Eins about a month ago, and it really surprised me. The Eins, Zwei, & Drei are pretty much the same robot. Solid build for a decade old kit. Reliance on stickers was bearable though I'm told it's worse on the Zwei & Drei. In spite of that it got me into very basic painting, and my Eins looks better for it, which was satisfying & enjoyable. Articulation is far from god tier, but it's still very good, and will solidly hold a pose. And best of all, it's like looking at a prototype IBO kit. You can really see where they Barbatos and other IBO gundams came from. One con (that gets balanced by a nifty fix/pro) is that the beam handles don't actually hold well in the hands; the kit doesn't come with beam effects either, but since the handles are docked on the shoulders and coincidentally look like long barrel vulcans, I just put them on in reverse and pretend that they are, which looks surprisingly looks cool.

This is basically an EFF Nemo, just with the angles and proportions tweaked. Hopefully we get the Dark Dagger L at some point so we can re-paint it into the AEUG Nemo (can't do it with this one because the clear plastic visor is the wrong colour, and you can't fix that with paint.)

In all honestly, I prefer they remake the 105 Dagger in HGCE, which also has a Striker adaptor compared to the rather plain Strike Dagger. That way we can also have the war crim- erh Slaughter Dagger as a release down the line.

I'm sure someone's already said it, but the difference between the old Daggers and the Dagger Ls are that they swap out the vulcan cannon types and lose the mounts for the Sword and Launcher packs. In other words, it's more streamlined. Beyond that, I NEED THIS. If not for an army, than certainly to make my own custom!
