Wonderful expose of the contrast between human philosophy vs God's philosophy, which in a word can best be described as... FREEDOM! Freedom of thought, expression and action comes to mind. What a loving, wise and merciful God we serve... Amen!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️😊

Huh? The word 'philosophy' is not in the scriptures. God is wisdom/knowledge. You do not need to go through 'methodeia' (another word associated with man and the devil) to know what God wants for you. After the Israelites, after sinning and offering their sacrifices came back into the temple, the presence of God. There, they received simple instruction on how to live. Look after the fatherless and the widow, the stranger, the poor, the oppressed and the infirm. Don't do harm to you neighbor, like lying, stealing, adultery, coveting what they have etc. This is not rocket science. Philosophy is not needed. Jesus through being perfected in the flesh, on our behalf, in His life, death and resurrection is able to transform us on the inside. So that by nature, because we now have unfeigned love, and are able to meet the requirements of the law. We now care for the widow, the fatherless, the infirm. Not because we have to under the law, but because we now want to. It is those who carry this spirit will day by day do these things, and as a result will be separated from the goats. God never meant for His word to be complicated. We hide the truth in methodeia and philosophy, because often when we are convicted we do not want to obey the truth, so we suppress in in unrighteousness.

@@stephent5963 where did I write that the word 'philosophy' is found in the Bible? I said HUMAN PHILOSOPHY vs GOD'S PHILOSOPHY (which was to be used only as a metaphor). Please don't complicate things and turn my words into something opposite from what I mean. I would venture to say that whether the Bible mentions this word or not is irrelevant since the word philosophy is applied in certain instances. Other words used for the term philosophy is: attitude, doctrine, idea, ideology, logic, outlook, reasoning, system, tenet, theory, thinking, thought, truth, view, viewpoint, wisdom... Btw, the word "philosophy" occurs only twice in Scripture. Once in Colossians 2:8 and once in Acts 17:18. Sorry but you greatly misunderstood my comment... 👍🏻🙏🏻

@@judithirizarry9952 Nice try, but no. you did not use 'philosophy' as a metaphor. Human philosophy is not a metaphor, but God's philosophy is a metaphor? You need to figure out how to use metaphor. You say you did not say 'philosophy is not in the bible, then proceed to say it is, but used under lots of other different words. That is a round about way of saying it is. My comment made it simple. I know your nose is out of joint on this one, but when you force a word onto what God is and is not you are using 'methadia' I stand by my first comment. Saying 'thing' and 'opinions' is not fact.....

God bless this program, we are living in a very dark time before Jesus comes again, and history is a good teacher to learn from! The United States is experiencing many of these extremes from the playbook of the enemy of souls, and it is diabolical to see it happen, despite our founders not being perfect, they were better people ! Looking for the dawning of eternity with our Saviour, and Lord, where there will be no more sin, war, cancer, hate, or any thing that goes counter to Biblical principles! A narcissist will hold to the ideas of self righteousness. And if you have power over others that narcissist can cause havoc in a society. If philosophy were so great it would have already cured the ills of this world. It takes something greater than human thinking to attain utopia. Having said that, I do have a strong hope that I will live in a place like that in the near future. I just know that it will not be brought about by human ingenuity, but by the grace of God. Meanwhile, we can lift each other up. Be kind to those who are suffering. Share God’s love with this hurting world.

You sound like an apologist for the Enlightenment and classical Liberalism. Both Authoritarianism and Liberalism are dangerous. Your critique of Authoritarianism is spot on; We are not the property of the state. On the other hand Liberalism can lead to all kinds of dangerous excesses and pure selfishness, not to mention political chaos. I will grant you one thing; In the absence of undeniable Divine Revelation, Liberalism with democracy are the best possible system. The democracy must continue to be tweaked and improved until God intervenes.

If an individual can bring up any subject that can split a church, that church was probably split already. I understand the concept of the 28 fundamentals, but it does fall to a persons core belief, and mine is (And this is life eternal, that they may know thee, the only true GOD, and Jesus Christ, whom thou sent. John 17:3) This is the 'gospel'.

I don't know, but for me, Jesus appears to be "the smartest man in the room, especially when he turned the scribe's words right back at them. Yes, Jesus would silence the Pharisees and Sadducees. He was definitely the smartest man on the planet when He did not allow the Adversary to keep Him from going to the cross and pouring out His life for us and resurrected the Victor of the Great Controversy. "Jesus paid it all; all to Him I owe." Thanks for explaining" Plato's Republic" because although I haven't read it, I suspected it would be how you described it. Sounds like Plato was the basis for the French Revolution and Marxism. A spill over effect to the idea of the state owning everything is the sky high real estate prices here in Canada, likely elsewhere as well. Rich Chinese people who can't own land in their own country have been coming over here for years so they can buy something. And they bid high to get what they want, driving everyone's prices up. Our government has finally banned foreigners from owning land here, that's how bad it's got. One Bible verse I would have gone with Pastor is Zechariah 9:13 For I have bent Judah, My bow, Fitted the bow with Ephraim, And raised up your sons, O Zion, Against your sons, O Greece, And made you like the sword of a mighty man. It's a prophecy that the overall influence of God's people would be greater than that of Greek philosophy, which birthed modern science and democracy. Having no moral standard within it, Platonic thinking cannot benefit the world anywhere near as well as can the Ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount.
