I have listened to this song several times before and only thought something like "oh, this song is a good ballad song, the lyrics are sweet" or something like that, but now that I finally, for the first time, live by my own without my mom with me, the lyrics hit me so hard, all the lyrics which I used to think 'sweet' now feel so meaningful, somehow my condition is exactly like this song, I miss my mom.

Just cried my eyes out. This song and Sorry (Dear Daddy) makes me think about all the times I have upset my parents and hurt their feelings. I hate when my mom or dad is upset and it hurts me when I know it's my fault. Why is it so hard for me to be nice to them? I don't want to upset them anymore because I'm afraid they will leave without me having a chance to be the child they raised me to be. For 14 years, I've been a bitch to my mom and dad and in 4 years, I'll be going to college/on my own and I don't want to leave without doing anything. It tears my heart up to think that I can't be a decent kid. My dad has cancer but it's not a threat (for now) but even so I'm so afraid that one day he will be emitted in the hospital because of it. My mom is ok but I know I hurt her feelings a lot. My dad told me that I need to straighten up because it makes my mom really sad when I disrespect her. T~T I need to change and it's now or never Mom, dad....I'm sorry

Zoe Tribley Yeah :) I turn 16 in 7 months so by then, I'll only have 2 more years until I turn 18 and leave home. I try to be good but again, it's probably teen angst haha so I hope this phase passes quickly. The main reason I hate it is because I feel that it interferes with my "love life" (psh as if I have one at this age). Honestly hoping it is just teen angst and not my personality because I would hate to act the way I do now to my parents in front of someone I like. I want to be family oriented so I wish to have a really good relationship with my parents in the near future^^

This is the first time I actually cried to this song. My mom and dad can't be at home with me and my siblings anymore. Everything SR17G thanks for listening, it's all good tho, but it makes me to appreciate each moment I'm with them because I know the time we have together is limited. And one thing I've learnt after doing the same mistakes countless of times is that no matter how mad or bad you feel, don't ever say things that can hurt your mom because 101% of the time you'll regret and it hurts you back. Especially when you're away and to just suddenly bring up the hurtful things you've said to her on the phone to apologize is just really hard so you'll end up keeping it inside and it makes you weak each night. So if you're about to say unnecessary stuff like that, just walk away, cool off, listen to music before you come back to her.

This song inspired me to write a letter to my mom at Mom's Day, since I don't have courage to tell her face to face. I gave the letter to her and went to other room, cause I couldn't watch when she read the letter. After she read it she came to me crying and hugged me tightly. I stay away from home because of my studies and it made me realize how much she did, was doing for me when I was with her. Ever since I was born, my mom was always working. When I grow up, all I see was the empty house without my mom. It was just me, my aunt and my older brother. She always leave in the morning and returns back home at the late night and this goes on almost every day. I rarely spend times with her so I guess that’s why I’ve become really distant from her.
