To answer some questions about the hack: It was ported to the Sega CD mainly to reduce slowdown in the original genesis release It is "technically" an unfinished version of the game, however I find that it's still the least buggy version. The only custom boss is the marble zone boss. They unfortunately rushed this build out, due to complications with the team working on it. There IS another version of the game, dubbed "5.0a" however it is ludicrously buggy and crashes a lot. However it does have new level art and new bosses (although some levels aren't complete and thus you can't finish them.)

There is a limit to the flying for tails but he can fly longer than in other games and super mighty also uses the shields but I think he can do something special when you have all of the shields

Fan fact: The City Outskirt zone music 20:28 is a game-version of a song Michael Jackson wrote for the 3D movie he starred in called Captain EO, which was only shown at Disney theme parks. It sounds so much like Sonic 3 music to me. The song was "Another Part of Me" if you want to look it up, it was later released on Bad.

I really loved to play Sonic 1 MegaMix. Especially the version 3 which is more stable than the 4.0 version. 🙂 I have waited for the 5.0 version of Sonic 1 MegaMix, but it didn't come to release. But it's not the end of Sonic rom hacking scene. There are still great Sonic rom modifications for playing one more and more. 😀
