Yea it seems the play boosters have more hits than usual. But then again, everything on the Big score was made mythic, even though there should be some cards that are not.

But looking at this with a purely logic based view, the play booster box absolutely WASHES the collector box. Not to mention the numbers are already slightly inflated from the throwaway commander slot rares and mythics in the collector packs... I also didn't take into account foils just because collector packs would take the cake in that competition, obviously. I guess it really just depends on what you're interested in.

You make good points, that said from a monetary standpoint even with the higher cost that collector box more than paid for itself and I think the play box at best broke even. The fact that cards like mindbreak trap show up much more easily in a collector pack make it more likely to get more value for your money vs just buying singles. It isn't all about the dollar value, but at the end of the day I want to pull more value that it would cost me buying singles, and the draft chaff cards do not add up to much sadly.

Listening to those odds makes my collector box pulls feel even crazier. I got a textured foil Mindbreak Trap and raised foil Lotus Ring in the same box

Collector boosters are the way to go. Buying set or play doesn’t have that high of a ceiling for super rare cards

With play boxes ev is usually pretty spot on because there isnt a massive ceiling. Collectors are very boom or bust. Both are fun regardless lol

I like the collectors but the price put me towards the play box but I enjoy collecting the foiled cards. The bling just makes the decks look cool

Set reminds me of March of the machines. 2-4 rares per pack is a satisfying feeling. Unfortunately MOM prices are very low for singles so value isn’t necessarily there during first few years. This set seems great for all formats

$7-$8 collector pack should be the price, not $25+. Play box is better value, collector has the better art.

Collector packs have never been that cheap and make no sense at that price unless they had the same number of rares as play packs

7-8 when you can pull $75 cards from them? Yeah that will never happen. Anytime I buy a collector pack I basically always break even or gain value vs buying singles for the cards I pull. Also a lot of shops will have them at 22-25, not just 25. Keep your eyes open for some better deals when you can. I hear what you're saying, but the numbers just don't make sense. 15 maaaaybe, but it won't happen.
