Loving these play and explains at different stakes. Great information throughout. Please keep them coming. Thanks!

Very interesting Patrick, would like more of these also at higher stakes (reg tables are fine too)! Just a little suggestion: you should better highlight the phrases which correct you sometimes because it's not easy to notice them in white :)

Thanks for the video. Hoping you will take a minute to answer two quick questions :) 1) At @35:45 you mention that you like to simplify the turn probe to B66. Is that just for this low texture or do you use B66 as your simplification on all boards? 2)someone mention that you had a blog on RIO - can you please link?
@mobiuspoker Жыл бұрын
Hi Mike, 1. I use this size for all boards. 2. Link to the blog is in the description :)

Enjoyed this! Keep doing it. The hand on table 1 at 33:57 - shouldn’t we mostly bet our Ax with nfd even when we have weak kicker?

Thanks! Yes with nut flush draw and wheel draw it will be a high frequency bet if not pure.

Interesting to see you folding JJ in the BB facing a SB 3bet. If it was me, I would think that I am pure 4 betting there. Can you explain your reasoning behind the play?
@mobiuspoker Жыл бұрын
Check GTOWizard. This combo will fold most of the time IIRC. I think this 3bet is also (potentially) underbluffed by the pool so I wouldn't want to mess around too much here, but pure 4betting probably can't be bad.
@zenguy73 Жыл бұрын
Not a NL cash player MTTplayer here but squeezing to 15BBs the AA hand in the BB is this sizing for all your squeezing range. It looks ridiculously large to me is this a thing in cash like in MTT will be more like 10-12BBs at 100BB deep?

what is the merit of a mixed strategy in an anonymous fast fold environment? I’m totally new to poker so this is pronounced a dumb question but… I thought the point of mixed strategies was to protect your range like “my opponent always cbets large with a polarized range so I can rule out middling hands” so then you cbet small or even check sometimes to mask your hand. vs random anonymous opponents who have no history with you, wouldn’t you just want to take the line that has the highest overall EV? Either way your opponent has no way of knowing if you took the line as a mixed strategy or if you are ignoring mixed frequencies altogether
@mobiuspoker Жыл бұрын
Yes, but that doesn't work in all formats. My hope is the video will be beneficial to all players, not just those in anonymous games.

Why did you open 2.5x every position? Lower stakes isnt better opening smaller?

I'm just an amateur but my first thought for zone format is hands/hr
@mobiuspoker Жыл бұрын
I'm just playing more or less the same strategy I play at high stakes in this video. Also, I'm not convinced opening smaller is better in practice.

200NL zoom from my experience is soft I've had opponents hero call me with junkier hands than the ones I have seen on this stream I don't want to say that it is super duper easy to print money in that game but it certainly is rewarding when you put in the time into the game and have a solid range
@liveslowlivesimple Жыл бұрын

can you give some advices for winning there? i was playing nl 200 but i was playing bad (calling more that i should) and variance
@monsterstackwizard9313 Жыл бұрын
@@joserivas7798 If you're playing zoom, you wanna play tight by folding a lot of hands except for solid ones and get a little crazy with the preflop raising and reraising when you have good hands or even if you wanna bluff with random-ass hands, make sure your bet sizing is no less than 5x the BB or your re-raises being 5x the original raise Basically you should either be playing only good hands (against loose opponents) or pull off some bluffs postflop to take a profit (against tight players)

I think they each have completely different values when it comes to what their goals in poker are and that’s why they have different opinions. Charlie _probably_ doesn’t compete at higher stakes online cash like mobius does and Mobius _probably_ doesn’t profit _as much_ in micro-low/mid stakes cash and tournaments as well as Charlie does. They have their strengths. There’s something to respect about wanting to perform well at the highest level and there’s also something to respect about trying to make the most money as simply and easily as possible so you can move on from poker. I imagine their differences come from that fact Mobius wants to prepare you for higher stake limits whereas charlie may or may not have better advice specifically for lower stakes. Just my opinion. I’m not really a crusher so maybe I’m not in a place to even give my opinion but that’s how I see the difference between coaches like Charlie and coaches like Mobius (im not sure if that’s this guy’s name I just found his channel when this video was recommended to me 😅) It’s a common trend I see at least. At the end of the day you can make millions multi-tabling micro-lowstakes zoom and lowstakes tournaments and you can make millions grinding high stakes poker all the same. What’s a better route is totally subjective.
