Thank you for your videos! I'm very intrigued by the trebuchet as a model for the golf swing. In this analogy, am I correct in assuming that (1) the trebuchet's rope is the shaft of the golf club and (2) the rock/payload is the head of the golf club? If so, I think it's underappreciated that a trebuchet launches a projectile by eliciting a STOPPING action of the beam--or more accurately deceleration, which then causes the taut rope to "whip". If this is correct, I think the idea of "weight shift" from rear to front leg is a bit misguided. If the golf swing really is a trebuchet, the front leg should be STOPPING/countering forward motion. Additionally, the axis (wrist area) should also STOP at projectile (club head) launch (if the model is correct). Am I completely crazy or could I possibly be on to something? PS: I also know that a trebuchet is more effective when on wheels versus being affixed to the ground. Not sure how to think about that yet.

Thanks. What a golf swing! My mother learned to play by copying the pictures in Wright’s book. ⛳️
