Labour permeates our world, it's basically everywhere around us. It's a pretty universal experience, and as such it is far from surprising that the act of working would be portrayed in video games. Join us as we explore both early and contemporary examples of labour based gaming as we pick them apart to find out what they are truly saying about the struggles of the working class.

We asked people for some examples of labour based games before making this video, and we got a heck of a lot of responses to it. We quickly realized that we should have been a bit more specific as it turned out we got everything from Zelda Breath of the Wild to fun revolution kids game Pikuniku.
