this creator took a fledgling(molly) away from his parents in 2020. molly wasn't a rescue. when magpies start to learn to fly they will always end up on the ground. Molly most likely wasn't injured he was just learning. molly could of had a proper wild bird life by now if they did what they where meant to do these people don't even hold a license to care for wild animals, so no knowledge either

Oh man it doesn't bear thinking about how Molly felt alone in that cage. I was so scared for him ...thankfully those in charge were silly enough to let Mollys health decline. They will be so angry and jealous while you are all back together again... I couldnt believe reading...wildlife researcher says that Molly being with you throws all of the years he'd worked with wildlife, out the window....Molly has nothing to do with it ffs. Im 66. When I was a kid a lot of people had kangaroos hanging around their homes. The roos were there because they wanted to be. They could leave any time they want. Same with the bird life. If you plant native trees you will probably have a lot of parrots and other birds hanging around. We are the worlds Nanny capital. Who's fault is that? Our fault. Every Australian. This story has happened before in Canberra 50 years ago . A couple had an agressively friendly magpie that invaded their house and the couple had no objection to it doing so. Obviously the magpie thought that a house had better conditions than hanging off a branch 24/7. Well the honchos at Parkes and conservation moved in to to take the magpies new found liberty off him. lCanberras citizens rose in force to object to the kidnapping of the magpie by officialdom!. The then Director of the Department of Parkes and Conservation: Dr Brian Pratt looked into the incident and ruled over his staff's tirade against this friendly magpie and his new found adoptee family! The outcome was: The magpie was allowed to stay in his new home where if he wanted to go for a fly he only had to walk out the door as it was always open.

I hope that your lives will be returned to normal very soon, it’s just a shame that they did not take into consideration that it was the birds choice to live like this, that he came and went as he pleased. I have the wild magpies who every year bring their new offspring to show them off to me. I use to gave this one magpie who swooped to pinch a few strands of my hair if I did not keep it covered while mowing the lawn. It only stopped when I left out a bowl of dry cat food for my cats the Magpie started to pinch that lol. The best part was he stopped swooping me to pinch strands of my hair, but he would swoop me if the bowl was empty😹😹 Since then I setup a bowl just for the birds alone on the gate post. Drilled holes to allow the water to runout when raining. Now they sit up on the power pole and sing when the bowl is empty😹😹 but it’s all of the other birds that have started calling around in the mornings and the late afternoons. We started feeding them during the drought season which there was a birdbath where they came for water daily, keeping it filled with fresh water all day. I live in Outback Queensland and we would get all different types of wild birds coming in for food and water, as the rains started coming back in our area the birds cut back to coming in for food only first light and at dusk, but still came for the water on the really hot days. Even though they are all wild birds I love having them around lol the cockatoos have been learning to talk for years now, they say hello when their dish is empty, that’s because I use to say to them “Hello, are you hungry” as I filled the bird feeder 😹😹 so it was a shock 10 years ago when half a dozen of them sat in the tree tops yelling out hello😹😹😹 so I started to say after I had filled their feeder “Thank you, your welcome” now some of them say “ankyou” I think they are still working on those two words😹😹😹 but regardless it makes me smile every time😹😹

First thing I will say, for the birds sake I do hope you guys get him back. As you’re the only thing he knows as family. But people should know that he could have had a normal magpie life if you just took him to professionals earlier, he could have had a mate, and fledglings of his own by now. What’s even worse is that the fledgling wasn’t even abandoned, the parents where still in the trees above, fledgling magpies always go on the ground while they learn to fly, we have heaps of fledgling magpies that stay on the ground where I live. As that’s how they learn to fly. So You shouldn’t have taken him away, the parents were waiting in the tree for you guys to leave. I do wish the authorities took molly away in 2020, as then he would of had the chance to live a normal life. Don’t know why they waited until now to grab him.
