Yeah, I enjoy interacting with fans and seeing what they like or want to see added to the game :) Over time, I think G&G will be a mash-up of many different game mechanics, which should allow for some pretty interesting gameplay!

I think that the reason why fire hydrants stick out of the ground is so that fire fighters find them easier. They're on a HUGE time crunch so everything has the be visible
@RealAyzeNZ3 жыл бұрын
Guts, guts, guts and meat, meat and guts you got guts sliced up, and it came out your but, you're flying on a bike, just through the air, you got a kid on the back, and he's got no hair, he's a little trike, and he's on a bike, and his name is Tike, and that's alright!
@needamuffin8 жыл бұрын
Above-ground hydrants and less prone to breakage because there are fewer moving parts and easily identifiable from a distance so both fire fighters can see where they are and civilians can see them to know to not block them. I don't see any pros of having them pop up from the ground.

But thats not how they do it in England, so its stupid. -Gavin Free Logic
@connorhobby25718 жыл бұрын
The one comment I was looking for.
@thesquishedelf13018 жыл бұрын
It's really just they're less expensive and a lot harder to break when they're in the ground. Here in NZ there's hardly any above-ground hydrants and it certainly *can* slow down firefighting. Not a single moving part though... unless you count the standpipe we basically screw straight into the water mains. Also the hydrants are marked a very bright yellow on top so you have to be a very, very special and/or foreign driver to block 'em.

asher loyd Thanks, we worked really hard, but in the end it paid off. I guess it's true what they say, you make your own luck and... and that... genius is 1% talent and 99% percent hard work. We struggled with this for over 8 years - to make just the right combination of comment and reply - and it wasn't easy, a lot of people, uh, a lot of things happened in the meantime, you know, people came and went, we made some friends, we lost some friends, it was a long road, but in the end it was all worth it. And now we're at the end of the road and all I can think about is that this is not the end but just a new beginning and I have to thank some people, first and foremost my parents, for supporting me, my best friends, who have stuck with me through this entire struggle, and obviously none of this would be possible without all the people at Rooster Teeth, especially Monty, who is responsible for my - and I'm sure many others' - introduction to machinima as an artistic medium and without whom I probably wouldn't be here today to comment on let's plays and, uh, of course, you, the other commenters, who have selflessly +1'd me all of these years and kept me going every time I felt like giving up. Thank you all, I love you, thank you very much!

@brendanfreed78508 жыл бұрын
Makhi Makharadze Yes, you know, how Happy Wheels is known for slow motion and barrel rolls and for being 3D and... Yes, it is definitely inspired, if not completely copied, by some aspects of Happy Wheels. it's just not as much of a carbon copy as all of you would like to believe. If it was, you'd have to say games like 7 Days to Die, Rust, and ARK were all rip-offs of Minecraft since they are all survival games with mechanics such as monsters, punching trees, making tools, etc.
@brendanfreed78508 жыл бұрын
Makhi Makharadze You mean the one character that's available right now. Unless I'm mistaken, there isn't a character who drives a car in Happy Wheels, or the other vehicle (I don't remember what it is) And no, those games aren't rip-offs, Minecraft did not invent the survival category. It is one of the most popular games in that category, but it did not start it. The difference between a rip-off and those games, is that they are largely original. I would still call this game a rip-off, but it is not the exact same as HW, as half the comments claim. EDIT: In 7 Days to Die, for example, the day-night cycle effects the zombies strength, not present in Minecraft. Completely different UI. Completely different crafting system, map system, and physics. Actual mechanics of health based on certain properties, temperature, dehydration, etc. If you still call every survival game a rip-off of Minecraft, then I'm sorry to inform you that one of the first I can think of was UnReal World (Microsoft Windows) and SOS (SNES)
