I live in California near the LA area and went back to my hometown (Philadelphia Pennsylvania) for vacation to visit family, and in my spare time I would log onto wifi or even occasionally cellular data to play and it worked pretty much flawlessly! It was very handy for times I was just bored sitting around doing nothing. My friend who was back at the house taking care of the house and pets for me would watch me play on the TV and was blown away by it and asked me question about it like how well it worked and if there was any lag. And surprisingly there was not much lag unless my internet connection was bad

@@JayMuggah88 I think you’re just supposed to link your PS4 to your device while you’re still at home on the same wifi network, and then after that it should let you use any wifi connection or even your cellular data (if you have the cellular data option turned on in settings). And sometimes it gets unlinked, and you have to re-link it. So if I’m going out of town or something I always try to make sure it’s linked before I go. And I think you just hit the link button and it does it automatically, or if you want I think you can manually enter the code from your PS4 in the PS4 settings in the remote play section.

@@JayMuggah88 Well first make sure you have mobile data enabled in the settings of the Remote Play app on your phone, and if you do then yeah it was probably your connection. A lot of times it won’t work very well or at all if you don’t have a good connection, or it’ll take forever to load

You can't have the PS4 "Shut Down" but if you leave the PS4 in Rest Mode it CAN be woken up remotely by phone... You have to go into your PS4 settings and make sure you have "Allow the PS4 to wake from rest mode remotely" option checked

Vita did the same. But there was not R2 or L2 triggers and it disconnected a lot. I had a controller grip that gave the buttons but it didn’t feel the same so I got rid of it after a while.
