F4CEpa1m x_0 hey I installed the quake 2 mod and revive and it worked well for a couple months but after the new revive update a week ago the game will only display in my Vive but not on screen for others to see. Please help

Wow, thank you for this tutorial. Never thought I would be playing these original quake games on my windows 10 system, let alone in VR. Your steps worked perfectly for my Oculus Rift. Too bad Quake 1 doesn't work with the Oculus Touch controllers, but from the keyboard works fantastic. VR is awesome with these games. take care.

Help :( Vive user trying to get the Quake 2 mission packs to work. I did everything in here, but when I go to change mod, it won't let me select either one, unless I change Require Game Libray to No, but then it freezes when I choose one of them. I'm a noob at this so I have no idea what to do now. I'm assuming the game libraries are missing, but I followed the instructions on here. The main game works fine, just the DLCs I can't get to work.

Hey facepalm love the channel, but ive tried a quake 2 mod last year and the gun was stuck to the hmd, do they now properly support roomscale, or is this best played with an xbox remote. I've been waiting for the proper doom 3 bfg style mod where its full roomscale. I noticed quake one doesnt have full roomscale yet so this is more for quake 2

Yeah Quake 1 is xbox controller only and can be seated or standing, tbh I prefer sitting with keyboard and mouse. Quake 2 is decoupled aiming so the gun is not stuck to your face but you'll need to follow the simple menu settings in the vid to get that going :)

Hey mate, this mod works perfectly. What's happening is your computer is missing that .dll file (could have been deleted accidentally). That .dll file is part of the Visual C++ Redistributable for Windows. Do the following: Create a system restore point on your PC. Then download and install the official .dll file from here: goo.gl/1QjsKN (Do not download from 'DLL Downloader' site if anyone else gives you a link in future, it's not a great idea). Restart your PC and try again. Let me know how you go :)

Quake 2 works fine on the vive but when I try to launch Quake1VR I get a couldn't load gfx.wad error. If anyone has a solution, I would greatly appreciate it

Fix found. Revive has problems with applications that use relative paths. Easiest fix is to place the id1 folder in the root Revive folder (C:\Program Files\Revive). Alternatively, you could use a shortcut/commandline type fix by creating a shortcut for the revive injector (C:\Program Files\Revive\Revive\ReviveInjector_x64.exe) with the path to quakespasm-sdl2.exe with quotes afterwards in the target field.
