I think play rough shouldn’t have invulnerability, but have damage reduction, however with some i frames at the start. If they want to maintain the invulnerability it’s got to have its range shortened by quite a bit (damage can also always be tweaked)

I had to go up against a Comfey Mimikyu, it was so broken They were invincible, then healed, over and over. They killed the entire team. Nobody could stop them bc they could warp through walls to our squishies and then any dmg we did was healed by Comfey while invincible. Broken. We only ended up killing the Mimikyu a couple of times, when our whole team fought them, and just barely. I think some of us died still. Pretty sure some of the team used unites too.

Play Rough definitely didn't need I-frames, all it needed was DMG reduction while in animation and Unstoppable because getting stunned at the start of the move was a death sentence for something that forces you to go in... That said c'mon guys, this match was a cleat win for Cris team in general and Mimikyu just happens to do awesome when it is accompanied by a Lapras/Hoopa/Pikachu/Glaceon (Stupid CC just makes anything look OP) and is facing against a 3 attacker comp with no defender that keeps walking into Cris (Yes, no joke, Cris almos didn't do any sniping with the range increase of shadow sneak, it was just the enemy team being bad...)

There's a reason Mimikyu isn't top 10 right now, amazing players will get all of the value (And even then Mimikyu isn't Mewtwo or Zacian, it can't do a 1v5 easily because it does fall off late game, it's single target and a decent tank can shut it off) while bad players will suck ass because they need to land skill shots and run back to Mewtwo/Inteleon/Zacian...

I would Just reduce the range on the dash, that way you would still be able to burst someone if you hit the Shadow sneak, but if they survive that, it will be harder to keep hiting your play roughs

I think making it more lime dark urshifu’s damage resistance on the punch move like the play rough would suffice. Making to to where you can hit mimikyu and not be completely defenseless. Also increase cooldown

I think the invincible mechanic is fine considering zeraora has wild charge. But the problem is, this move doesn't have any drawbacks unlike wild charge (Cuz wild charge requires ramp up with spark and also loses HP). I would suggest cd should be increased from 5s to 10s for play rough. 5s is way too low cd. By the time, your shadow sneak gets a reset, play rough is back somehow. And also shadow sneak's healing needs a nerf. This healing is why mimikyu is almost impossible to kill. Once, Mimikyu gets a kill, it never stops lol

Invincibility is a crazy buff to this move, it feels like a mini Tseerena Unite, if I’m hit below a certain HP threshold I’m just like “welp guess I sit here for two seconds and wait to die with 0 counterplay :/“ Wait actually it’s like a mini version of its own Unite lol, accept arguably better since you can’t be hit during it

I do genuinely like the invincibility because it sets itself apart from other play roughs. I think it's either the damage or the time in play rough invincibility that should be adjusted. Or have the dash animation be slower so that the enemy has a chance to dodge or eject away would be interesting.

Or make it the distance of the attack short AF. Like the dash is quite big all things considered, I have been able of reaching pokémons way beyond my normal grip in some games so by reducing it exponentially it would be dependent on Shadow Sneak. Basically speaking if you don't have the skill to secure a Shadow Sneak, Mimikyu basically is nothing but a dead weight but if the player is skilled enough to be a god sniper with Shadow Sneak then it would be rewarded by a huge spike in damage and potentially a kill. It would make Mimikyu more interesting in my opinion because while Trick Room is scary as it allows for an obscene amount of movement, it is a very small space that unlike Poltergeist, does not damage the enemy so it is easier to run away from it.

I was playing one game of Surf Greninja and whenever I existed, I would get Played Roughed a SINGLE TIME and die from full health, and there was nothing I could do (he was always the same level btw), and this was without shadow sneak

just played against one. i used outrage dragonite, but playrough mimikyu is just too annoying with the invulnerability.. like it got me and the only thing i can do is move around or hit other mons while mimikyu is sucking on my hp bar leaving me to die or at least below 20%. the only way to prevent it is to bait it to miss (won't most of the time) using a dash (i used dragon dance). and then you have around 3 second to beat it to pulp before it can use play rough again.

I think the best thing they can do is give Play Rough damage reduction and unstoppable in exchange for the invincibility. Let’s be honest the reason Play Rough was terrible on release was because you could literally CC Mimikyu out of the move. Invincibility solved that issue, but unstoppable was honestly what it needed. I don’t think play roughs range needs to be nerfed cause otherwise Mimikyu ends up with no escape especially when there’s no farm to shadow sneak to

Right now I think both Play Rough and Mean Look deserve a nerf. There is absolutely no way anyone can seriously defend a 5s cd move that lasts for like... 2s(?) with full invulnerability during the entire time is balanced. FIghting a Mimikyu 1v1 as a melee is torture. Mean Look though is just Yorick's Dark Procession (W) except you can't do anything about it. Not being able to dash or Eject Button out of Mean Look's area is ridiculous.

I personally prefer a heavy nerf on damage, or slight nerf on damage while changing from invincible to unstoppable with reduced damage, or every play rough loses hp like wild charge even, that way lore accurate to play rough possible to miss. Tbh I think keeping at least unstoppable on Play Rough is a must, in one game I managed to play a decently smooth Mewtwo game because Psystrike's Unstoppable effect keeps helping in letting Mewtwo perform its job properly. Most all rounders simply are outclassed due to not having alternatives (like lifesteal needs to heal more if you want dmg reduction nintendo, if you don't want to use tenacity effects, then make it gaming logic accurate as mainline, having stable recovery for bulky characters) I think Play Rough either Unstoppable or even Invincible is actually manageable/acceptable, but the dmg is main thing that pushed it over the top, most all rounders get two shot by Play Roughs.

Play Rough is a unite move with 5 sec cd. PSA however if anyone doesn't know - Clefable with Gravity eats this thing's lunch. Legit nothing Mimikyu can do when Clef is around. I say this having both been the clef in a match against it, and having been the mimikyu and running into the clef.

HOLY I did ONE ranked match after not playing for 3 months and got 17 kills… it most DEFINITELY needs a nerf, I think completely getting rid of the invincibility would make it pretty bad so some 30% - 50% resistance maybe? But if not, a lesser nerf would be dmg reduction which still makes the skill VERY good bc of the invincibility.

I would indirectly nerf play rough by buffing full heal to make it so it heals you from all crowd control (including unite moves like Slowbro) and prevents mons from latching onto you. That way it forces thinking about who has the full heal, what to use it on, and how to bait it out.

I seriously wish that Timi would just listen to the fans for once, and also put some effort into making this game the best possible product that it can be so that it can be a long-time stay, and worry about monetization afterwards. I don't remember anyone asking for Mimikyu buffs, but then when people are rightfully upset with both Mew2, Zacian and Inteleon just being complete and total fun-killers, they don't listen. And I get it, it's because Mimikyu is the new, shiny toy, so overtuning it so that more people buy it was to be expected. I just wish it wasn't so blatant. Mimikyu was honestly fine the way he was, but I'd keep the Shadow Claw nerf. It's already mobile enough as is, and it's Unite move is pretty good if you need to pick off a target. It already does a lot of things for an All-Rounder, so honestly? Revert the Play Rough buff, and Mimikyu will be fine.

Problem with that is that Mimik can sometimes win 1v3 with it dashing and jumping around with Play Roughs, it happened to me several times and my team couldn't do anything other than just die from 1 or 2 Play Roughs

Skillshot hin oder her (to say it in good old German), the combination of cooldown reduction, invincibility and high damage is just unreasonable. Of course, playing against players with poor aim isn't an issue, but it's not that hard to hit this combo. Whichever way, it should be nerfed so that even high skill doesn't make it so extremely broken

I didn't think game could get any worse after Inteleon, but now we have Mimikyu as it is atm and makes me wonder if devs are trying to purposely drive people away from the game. I'd rather play against release Zacian or release Mewtwo Y than Mimikyu. True invincibility with such a short CD is really unfun to play against. They should severely reduce the dmg of Play Rough or remove the invincibility from it and reduce the dmg it deals by some still also.

I was playing leaf blade decidueye, and there's nothing I can do to escape the play rough. I die in a single move, and he has so much range with shadow sneak is cringe. Invisibility should be removed, and it's balanced, make it Hinderance resistance, make it unstoppable, but invisibility, that is clear one shot and no one can do anything about it.

At one point I had a 70% winrate with play rough mimikyu. It has recently fell to 60% due to me just sucking at the game. This is busted to an extreme extent. At least with mewtwo everyone had one, so only those who refuse to play mewtwo suffered. With mimikyu however, not everyone has caught on, so it is a MAJOR problem.

Play rough shouldn’t have invulnerability. Nerf damage a little bit. As an attacker and speedster lover, if I get smacked, so be it, take 90% of my health like all the other all rounders. But I need to be able to do something about it. Everyone else’s play rough isn’t invincibility

I think a good way to nerf play rough without making it useless would be changing the invicibility to unblockable instead. They made it this way because it was to easy to stop with the amount of stuns in the game and it's fair, but the invicible? Huuuuuh maybe a bit to much yeah. With unblockable at least even if you're on top of me I can still hit you and you're not dodging every skills my team is throwing at you. I don't remember if it was that way at first already and if not then yes I stand my point.
