Maining Disc this season as a break from my R Shaman and would love a Zuco dummies into dungeon guide if it would be in the pipeline. Honestly.. having a 470 assassination rogue and then playing my 450 spriest.. so much fun. Feel like after two set now my spriest has scaled up much easier than when I had 4 set on my rogue at the same ilvl. I have so much fun on the spriest right now.

My experience of the sand trash on Shadow (23/24 keys currently) also sucks - accepting that your damage will suck relative to uncappedd AoE classes is first (I run with a MW monk and DH) - I typically never manually dot the smallest adds and only throw Vamp Touches on the Fusions & Infinite riftmages and prio them - I send DA and bender on every Riftmage if possible. Positioning wise, I'm standing with the tank tagging as the mobs come in/spawn - typically works quite well. I think rule of thumb is to only send a shadow word: pain and not throw a vamp touch if the mob will die in less than 15s. Since the changes a few weeks back, we prefer Mastermind over Screams of the void as it boosts our ST significantly without a huge loss to AoE which Screams excel at (unless you are going full Ghost + VE build etc) Good luck! 😁

In pure ST you should still absolutely be consuming your tier set stacks on SWP, as it is numerically the better option(for comparison's sake, ive had SWP hit for 300-350k and crit for over 700k, whilst Scrash will usually hit for 180-230k and crit for 300-400k max) but if you really wanted to be lazy it isnt going to make or break your damage using it on scrash instead. The problem with doing so is that there are numerous times where even outside of execute with good Deathspeaker procs(and making good use of sniping mobs in execute with SWD) you will reach max stacks and munch some stacks before your Scrash is off CD, and in execute this will happen VERY regularly, you should absolutely be using SWP in execute for boss dam/pure ST as that is part of what makes the tier strong in execute. Mind you, im not saying dont use Scrash to refresh your dots in ST(since its still preferable over hard casting VT), what you should do is consume the tier stacks with SWP and then Scrash right after...you may end up throwing some Scrashs with a few stacks in doing so at times, but thats largely irrelevant since getting 10-12 stacks is pretty easy and quick.

What feels bad is even at the end with like 8 swd procs your damage didn't take off it just stayed as it was as if you could have pressed mind blast and would have done the same damage...you think you would see some worth from being that lucky and get that many procs but swd and the teir proc just doesn't feel as strong as it should be, like if you were on your enhancement shaman and you got 8 acendance proc back to back you would def see your damage take off and leave that pally in the dust but even when you were spamming swd he was keeping up and even beating you still. If that makes sense? The game play is fun don't get me wrong but doesn't feel as rewarding and much as the fun it has

Shadow Word Death has a 10 second CD and gets a free reset in execute. It can't have the same power level as an Ascendance proc or else it would be completely busted... You have to remember what else is happening with those procs as well. Each proc is also extending and proccing your Mind Bender as well as giving you stacks towards a Shadow Crash/SW:P that 's going to do a TON of damage. It is also a really great spell to cast when you need to move. So there's lots more synergy with the spell beyond the damage it deals and by the end of the key, you can see that it actually dealt a lot of damage as well. :)

@ZucoWoW I'm not saying it's not fun and it doesn't do decent damage it's just not at the level a teir set should be doing I see some high level shadow priest players not even play around swd or priotize it, like queen xine was topping meters and doing +30s and she was playing the season 2 void eruption/shadow apparitions/yagg build, basically stronger then the mind bender/DA build. Basically on higher keys where mobs last longer I'm seeing alot of shadow priest moving away from the da builds. Again not saying it's not fun, it's just not as powerful as it should be for a tier set

This is an an alt character. So I'm down a lot of ilvl, don't have correct trinkets, stats, etc. Priest also has a ton of utility. Mind Soothe, Mass Dispel (Bursting week right now), Dispel Magic for Afflicted week, Mind Control for Incorp Week, PI buff for allies, Vamp Embrace for group healing, lol... Shadow Priest has insane utility, more then most dps. :)
