Just want to say i just started learning not only disc priest but healer in general a few days ago. This vid made me understand disc priest so much more i really appreciate it. Most guides make the assumption that you have played the spec before so i always got confused. But the way you explained everything was simple and easy to follow for someone like me who has not played the class or spec before ty.

Important to mention an interaction with Twilight Equilibrium and your tier set, spell queing either Dark Reprimand or SWD right after you cast Smite during Mindbender gives you both the Holy and Shadow buffs from TE, meaning you can cast 2 shadow spells back to back and they both get the 15% buff

great explanation. i‘ve been learning disc for the past month. just hit first 20 key and finished, after struggling with disc at very low keys not knowing the rotation. your guide and (jakob‘s channel, forgot the full name) its great fun when high keys work out well, which doesnt always depend on me as healer but it feels great when i know i‘ve contributed well 🙂

The 20% DR you get from flash heal & fade is something you see A LOT of priests not taking enough advantage of, and i was one of them for a while. It can be a 20% DR every 10 seconds.

the 2 weeks before christmas eve I was spamming disc up to +24. but I did a lot of stuff wrong so I was basically CAMPING your channel in the hopes of a disc guide coming up. When I returned to new york shortly after new years I couldnt quite catch up anymore and went back to evoker. Not gonna lie, randomly stumbling over this guide now was breaking my heart. It broke my heart growl. Of course Im just kidding, but if this video came out right before christmas Id prolly be a full on disc main by now. timing just isnt my style… lss, glad to see new guides and such from you!

I got discouraged from playing Disc because someone in my guild told me I was fundamentally playing it wrong. Mind you I didn't ask for feed back or anything. This person went out of their way to look at an guild alt raid run, look at my logs, and then flame me (: maybe I'll give it another shot with this simple guide.

Very good guide, but at some points in the video (like before the AOE volley in BRH) you use mind bender before casting radiance Isn't it always better to cast radiance first? Both to get harsh discipline and to save a GCD inside the bender window

With the amount of cdr you get on squid… it’s not that big of a deal when you swap it. Tho mostly you will try to get radiance out before squid

I just started playing healer. I am struggling to find something to show despellable things on the party frames. Right now im using the default blizzard party frames but the icon is so small in the top right corner so its hard to notice. Any way to make it bigger on the party frames to notice it easily? Or any other addon to highlight it?

As a healer I use elvui and it's party frames turn the whole player frame a different color for those debuffs that can be dispelled. Grid2 also does this if you don't want to fully replace your base UI.

IMO as a disc priest there you really should have either the leaf or the voodoo totem trinket there (preferably the voodoo totem) It takes care of one of them, while the other its pain supression, flash lights and penance on the dude Players on 25 should also use the Withering pot there, it is a 600k heal, pretty much a lay on hands

I really wish all these videos would be more beginner friendly and use images of the abilities in the order you need to use them. helping us understand what you're talking about instead of saying 15 fancy "ability" names straight assuming we know exactly what you're talking about. beginners don't know ability names. we now need to decipher each name you speak in this video and put the puzzle together piece by piece. when you could have just shown us what the abilities look like when you read them. and sure this may not be a beginner tutorial. But lets face it. Thats why people come watch this video. we are trying to learn.

such bad advice ilvl>haste u ever plays a priest with 5% haste =garbage can't hardly do anything extremely clunky and falls to the bottom of all the healer's!!!!haste is a mandatory if your reading this if u get a higher ilvl peace gear and u drop little haste its ok, but if you have 0 haste on all your gear just because gear drops that upgrade but it higher ilvl and u got 2nd set of gear that lower ilvl but has haste on it 100% you will see for yourself how garbage/horrible it is to play priest with vary low haste!!!!
