A thought based on my wear of the future: The heel would work better for lockdown if you had the size 9 instead of the 8.5. It's too low and shallow because it's sized for a smaller heel. The problem is that the boot is waaaaaay too long for the width. So, in order to get the length right, you have to size down, which then creates issues for the width and heel area. Anyway, that was my experience with (and why I no longer wear) these boots. In that sense, your experience with the boots was encouraging, because it was squarely in-line with mine.

I have them and honestly I love the feeling the upper gives me but I use them on ag so I had to buy nike gx in ag sole because my ankles and knees were in pain after maybe 3 weeks of use in the ultimate

I had the Future 6.1 and they were incredibly comfortable, but somehow they gave me a heel blister. I couldn’t figure out why, so I sold them. Now for FG I have two pairs of the old school Puma Ones.

I was dying at “let it die. Let it die. Ok, let’s continue…” 😂 Agree with you though, Puma seem a bit lost right now. The Future used to be so innovative with Netfit and now it’s just a fairly comfortable boot. I love that King upper but it’s hard as hell to break in because of the shape for me. The Ultra definitely doesn’t look very interesting. Sort it out, Puma!

holy production value! you are really getting better at editing. also i woudl love for you to try getting your hands on a pair of yasuda ligaresta pro. made in japan, full k-leather, classic design and wide fit supposedly. according to customer support they fit like mizunos, so half a size down

Your brave for wearing them on ag. Why not try the mg in the future? Ive got the mg in this colourway , the puma future is holding puma up as a football boot brand. Dont rate the ultra and the king i see as more of a heritage sub brand.
