Play Test : Under Armour Spotlight

Under Armour has given us one of the most unique speed cleats we have seen in a while with their newest version of the Spotlight. The biggest thing that stands out on this new cleat, is the zipper used to cover the lacing.
With a lot of new updates, I was interested to get a pair on my feet and see if they perform as good as they look.

The future of spotlight would be a cleat with a hybrid lacing system. This would mean that people could either wear the cleats laceless or with laces. This would help companies sell more, since people would be able to choose between maximum comfort and feel for the ball with a laceless setup, or lock down with a laced up system. Under Armour would definitely be the first to make this happen because they are not afraid of taking risks when innovating, and being different than others.

I think the future of spot lite will be that the back of the cleat will have a zipper so that if you have blisters than you won't have that annoying blister pain and the customization will be incredible so that they can say that no 2 people will have the same cleat and I think that because people like me really don't like having the same cleats because the cleats say some things about the player and having that zipper in the back will make so you can still play soccer with blisters without pain

Wouldn't be surprised if they totally reinvented the design. A more grip like texture wouldn't hesitate for a leather like feel. A mid dynamic collar as it seems more and more boots are implementing that. And the obvious a lighter cleat with a more barefoot response system.

The future Spotlight will have a full carbon fiber soleplate with all bladed studs. They will still have the zipper but will leave the top lace hole exposed so you can easily adjust the fit in the middle of a game or practice. The upper will feature a subtle texturing but nothing crazy, something like the speed ribs on the Vapor XI. Some of the versions will be completely synthetic but they might make a few leather variations. It also wouldn't surprise me if they tried to incorporate some sort of collar to appeal to the desire of mid cut shoes right now.

The future spotlight will have a better bare foot feel with a smooth synthetic upper, it will be able to break in fast and fit wide feet perfectly. It will more durable with a nice fit like the vapor 11.

i feel that the spotlight is moving forward positively cause design wise the boot looks amazing. yeah the boots are probably not gonna be perfect but they're going in the right direction with the new ideas and designs which overall make the fit and touch feel better. in years to come with more inputs from players and people who wear the previous spotlights these boots are gonna be amazing speed cleats in the market!!!!! would love to get a pair

Although there are a lot of negative comments about this boot, along side with the green and older version of this boot, this is my favoutrite boot I have ever seen. Underarmour has shown that they are able and are brave enough to try new things in their products. I believe the future of the Underarmour Spotlight boots will be just as creative and fantastic. Also, thank you very much for such an amazing play test video with lots of information. I have subscribed and liked this video. I look forward to seeing more amazing content in the future! The future spotlight will have a larger logo, different look and a more secure fit on the foot. It will feel more comfortable on the feet and have more padding. It will have a variety of colors

I believe future spotlight would be made of Kevlar upper, carbon fiber soleplate and twistable tightener. Finished in chrome purple with satin black acsent.

The future spotlight will be something we have never seen something people years ago would never imagine. It'll blow people away and leaving them stunned and excited. It have the latest or even new material. Making it something everyone will be asking for! I'm excited even thinking about it. I think the future for this boot is big not for the zipper but for the laers its like the pure chaos but whit out the problem of the second laer being to tight i thing this is a good concept for a boot that is snug fited and soft and confortable to toch whit some pading

I think the future spotlight is going to be high cut that ends right below the calf for added "stability" like in the American football under Armour cleats, I think they're also going to go for the woven/knit bandwagon.

I think the future of spotlight will have a small sock at the ankles and will either be laceless or keep the zipper to be unique . It will be made lighter and have a better , closer feel to the ball . It will be available with different studs so you can play in different condition . There should also be an indoor version. With this new look and technology I think that it will be more popular among top players and will rival the likes of nike and adidas . Thanks!!! It might just look more fantastic in future because under armour is very good at it. They might also improve its efficiency and make it the best possible choice at an affordable rate. I dont know how i feel about a zipper on a cleat. But i believe the future of spotlight will incorporate more unique features like the zipper a wider variety of color waves maybe even the mid or high sock liner that brands like nike adidas and puma are introducing.

This is how my future spotlight will be - The future spotlight will be lighter as compared to this version and will be more responsive and will have better lockdown due to k-leather upper and twistable tightener with grippy texture on the upper for better striking. The future spotlight will be blackout with a small white under armour logo on the sides.
