Adam, you are such a great teacher!! Most KZbinrs, post to show off or tease invitation to join a subscription. I know that you want people to sign up, but your teaching provdes real meat for those of us who may not be able to sign up right away, but are thristy for knowledge that translates into useful playing material and skills. Your approach is genuine and you are a natural teacher!! Thank you for videos like this one!!

Keith Jarrett - Things ain’t what they used to be live at the Blue Note!!!!!! Man, I couldn’t be happier about this session! I’ve been drooling over Keith’s intro of that recording for weeks but haven’t gotten around to figuring it out - now I know exactly what Keith is up to there!! :) Thanks Adam!!

Hey Adam i never get to be there when you go live im always on the road which gets harder at 71 years old still playing Soul music and a little country and classic rock. But i enjoy you and Peters videos. I set up three keyboards when i play out i dedicate the top one for strings and bari sax the next one horns and violin and the bottom key for B3 and Piano sounds. Keep up the great videos speading your talents to others in a world of crap you guys bring hope through music and education you give . So thanks for all you do.

I had no idea Adam's live streams were available on YT, super excited to watch this. Piano and I have a long history (Paris conservatoire 48 years ago, I was 6), but I gotta say since I started following Adam 2-3 years ago, things have changed drastically. I practice his drills daily, I enjoy doing it, and it's very, very beneficial. Hugely grateful.

I notice in a bunch of videos (including this one) the 5 chord is treated differently. Eg in passing chords, they are inserted for all except 5. Here, it's all C pent EXCEPT for the 5 where i play G pent. What is it about the 5 that makes it a unique flower?

Hey Adam thanks for sharing! can you guys go about the use of the minor 6 pentatonics? I use what I call the spanish minor pentatonic on the third of major chords, R b9 4 5 b7, so in CΔ I could go E F A B D but if I see it like is a sus4 sound yet phrygian, so I'm exploring. If I start it from D is R 2 b3 5 6, it ringed a bell on the Minor 6 pentatonic you mentioned, doing the math sounds like this fitted.
