@@kalamander8563 Yes, you are right. Me, you and Meta Games GX know this, but not everyone that plays Yu-Gi-Oh. That is the reason why we must guide them to the right deck to play being Branded. That is one of the reasons Meta Games GX made the stream/video, to help guide people. Also, as fellow Branded players we must guide them to these stream/video so they may learn.

How does droll miss timing? I know you can prevent it from being activated with droplets/super poly because they prevent activation, but how does high spirits make it "miss timing" (outside of just chaining it after droll to have it resolve before droll is in effect)

You have player priority to chain quick effects first if its your turn, droll is a quick effect not trigger, if you chain their droll will miss its timing to use its quick effect

@@MetaGamesGX this isn’t true either. Droll cannot miss timing. Reincarnation, droll, reincarnation was an annoying combo at the beginning of link era. The best you can do is hold priority and activate super poly or droplet on resolution of search so they cannot respond.

@@MetaGamesGXDroll is an “If” effect not “when” so it would still be able to activate no? It’s still being activated during the resolution window of an add, so I believe it’s still legal even if you chain something else with prio (unless it’s superply or drop). Also, “missing the timing” is a little misleading if used here, as “if” effects cannot miss timing. Essentially you’re trying to chainblock droll which isn’t possible as far as I’m aware. Not a hate comment, just making sure people aren’t going off potential misinformation.

My biggest problem with these 60 card builds, are the fluff. You said you play 3 cart because “I wanna see it in 60”. Or you can just play less cards. You aren’t seeing combo pieces as consistently at 60, and the patchwork engine is just bricks. It doesn’t break boards, unless you’re already playing the game, and at 60 you’re playing the game less often. You also don’t lose to droll in the standard builds, unless you play into it. You only ever need to search branded fusion. Another gripe with these 60 card builds. With less Omni negates you don’t need as much gas, you need to more consistently do what branded does well, break boards and set up puppet. Just my 2 cents having played the deck for 2 years and having topped 4/5 regionals I took the deck to.

I'm not sure if I agree with patchwork just being bricks. They always get me to an untargettable chimera which cooks any promethean based deck.. you always have one monster on board. The extra cards give you the ability to go +2 going 2nd and overwhelm your opponent with card advantage. Smaller builds will let you see side deck and power cards in your opening hands more but I do like the 60 card piles ability to give you a way higher ceiling and option tree.

@@MetaGamesGX most people are on 2-3 patchwork (the good card) 2-3 chain (the ok card) and 1-2 poly (the bad card). These ratios just don’t add up to me. You’re gonna see the bad cards almost twice as often as the actual good card. Or some combination of both, and even then the good card doesn’t do anything without other cards. You could just play 3 good cards with 0 bricks and have more options. You even mentioned droll seems to be good for this upcoming format, and patchwork makes you lose to droll in a deck that should not be losing to droll otherwise. I’m glad it works for you, but it just seems worse than playing a more consistent deck
