Balandra looked so pretty! The water looked so calm. For those who didn't grow up by the ocean, what kind of things do you always bring to the beach?

An umbrella or tent is a nice to have especially if you’ll spend all day on the beach but not always a must have for me. Always sunscreen, water, hat/sun glasses and a towel plus snacks are a good idea too. I’ve started bringing the dry bag too for phones and cameras 😊 I always wear sandals but Nefi will wear socks and tennis shoes 😅 I think sandals are easier personally otherwise sand gets everywhere!

So cool. how was the food in playa tecolote? Are there more options to visit or are those the only 3 beaches near La Paz?

The food was decent. A little pricey for Mexico but not bad for being at the beach. There are lots of other beaches nearby! Those were just the three we picked to check out. You could spend a week just visiting different beaches. La Paz is such an underrated place in Mexico.

The UNESCO heritage ruins this beautiful area by limiting the hours people can visit! I have been visiting cabo since 1988 since high school. Mexico, big government has ruined the area for $$ Tourist are getting hosed by the overpriced visit on every aspect and taken of advantaged but the people that work in the tourist industry all the way down to your waiter!

Sorry I didn’t realize what video this was on haha I thought it was Isla Espiritu Santo. I’d actually say people ruined it. It became popular from social media and thousands of people were visiting a day and starting to damage the ecosystem. Protections like this can be frustrating but it’s worth it to make sure the area is around for the future. We brought our own umbrella and if we’re smart would have brought our own food. They don’t charge to enter the beach so I think it’s pretty fair. Most protected areas like national parks and state parks in the US charge for entry.
