Probably because even though it looked like 456 was speaking nonsense, they had no real reason not to listen to him. The first few times he tells them to stop, they can already tell he knows what he is doing, and someone who was drunk or high would not be as good of a guide this way. His knowledge of covering his mouth is good evidence of his claims. So they all listened to his instructions, regardless of how absurd it would seem at the start. Very well written scene.

He is guiding them step-by-step on how to survive the Squid Games.

Hello, I think the mom is someone involved in the games cause she moved in the red light green light and was not shot. After the first kill, everyone was panickng and she moved her arm to grasped the shirt of her son. Even peolple who only have hand tremors were killed. What she did was a lot more movement than that.
