so happy the capts referral was made that was intentional asf deserves red, still a great player.. skillwise
@RubyDoobieScoo3 жыл бұрын
It did, and the headlock of Jordie Barrett deserved yellow and two of the Crusaders tries should've been called back for forward passes. Apparently the captain referrals work better if you're wearing Red.

Come on Ngani all the cameras are watching & of all the people to foul against it's the opposing captain.

Ngani slotting in as the decision maker is clear evidence that the canes are lacking direction from a solid flyhalf/playmaker unlike the other teams
@ttoleafoa703 жыл бұрын
Or that’s the development plan the Hurricanes want from him. To make him into a genuine decision maker/distributor like most inside centres in the modern game. Like Ma’a Nonu, Anton Lienert-Brown, Josh Goodhue. It’s a part of his game that has been lacking and quite possibly why he hasn’t been selected often at 12 for the ABs. And they’re trying to make him into the complete test 12

will be useless for the ab's if he goes overseas

Why turn the player cam off during those replays? I specifically opened this video because I was curious about how he reacted seeing that on the big screen. I don’t understand what he was thinking here - he was cleared out fairly, don’t get what he was objecting to. On a slightly more cynical note, now that they have captain’s referral it’s pretty dopey choosing the captain for your forearm smash. And he must have known he was the playercam subject, so foul play by him would definitely be clearly evidenced. Why take the risk?

ABs missing that go forward in midfield! Laumape would’ve been the perfect foul for the Springbok rush defence

Laumape is a failed project. Stop wasting time with a 28-year-old that’s only played 15 tests, the guy is well behind Ioane, ALB and Goodhue in the ABs midfield pecking order. It’s Umaga-Jensen’s time to shine. Laumape still fails to pass when there’s space for players outside him and he still over-celebrates whenever scoring, the guy’s scored more than 40 tries for the Hurricanes, he shouldn’t be carrying on like that anymore, scoring tried isn’t new to him. Contrast Laumape’s arrogance to David Havili simply yelling “wooohooo” over WINNING the game by KICKING the WINNING GOAL. Not sure if anyone else noticed, but after Laumape put the ball down for what he thought was a second try, he then took the piss out of the referee by making the TMO sign, except exaggerated. His behaviour is something you’d expect from a high school student playing NZ U-20’s, not a 28-year-old professional athlete. Last but not least, the deliberate elbow to Barrett’s face should have been a red and he was lucky not to be cited. The laws of the game state that any direct contact to the head with force is a red card, regardless of intentions. I’m not sure about anyone reading this (probably not a lot of people), but it’s pretty silly to elbow a CAPTAIN to the face, knowing there’s a captain’s referral in SRA, with about 14 cameras in the stadium to catch the act. Time for Laumape to accept his offer to go to France, they’ll love him there. I doubt he’ll be reading this comment himself but if so, selectors don’t just take your highlight reel into consideration, they also consider things like a player’s attitude, their communication, little things like that, that win World Cups.

A lot doubted him coming from the nz warriors and nekk minute made the all blacks. also they chose SBW over him and he did fuck all in the worldcup so your point is irrelevant.
@NZTrumpFan3 жыл бұрын
@@TongaHorsePower305 a lot more relevant than yours, you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. Willliams was one of the best passers and offloaders in the world, he basically popularised the offload in rugby. Williams made plenty of try assists in all THREE world cups that he played in. He drew in a lot of defenders, because the opposition didn’t know what he was going to do with the ball. Williams was an effective crash-ball runner just like Laumape, but also had a world-class kicking game and passing game. When he was younger he had lots of speed too. Laumape on the other hand is just crash ball then recycle and over and over again. Laumape’s only passed in 50% of his carries in SRA this year, Williams would pass about 80% of the time he had the ball. Williams wouldn’t just pass for the sake of it either, he’d analyse the field, look where opponents were positioned and he’d look at how he could set a team mate up to exploit that. You wouldn’t know anything about that though, you obviously have no coaching experience and just watch pathetic highlights. No decent coach gives a flying fuck about a player’s highlights. They only care when the ball is grounded and with Williams on the field, that was more likely.
