Pretty good run, but definitely not perfect. Fuse is the weakest part of the run by far but it also has the heaviest RNG as well so only losing 17 seconds isn't actually that bad. This is a run that I don't think I could beat without amiibo so that's a cool milestone to hit and I'm not sure if I feel like continuing to grind for sub 41 right now. It's definitely possible but that'll be the point where good scans are required.

So one day when another camper totally clocked me as a Tumblrina and said "I like your shoelaces", I actually thought she was honest to God complimenting my shoelaces and completely forgot to reply "Thanks I got them from the president" bc I was too busy thinking about how cool my shoelaces were. When fighting the Demon Dragon, I notice that you wait until after you take out the first set of eyeballs before fusing the lizalfos horn to the master sword, but wouldn't it be faster to simply fuse it immediately so it takes less time to destroy the first set of eyeballs?

The earliest I'm able to fuse is when I've dropped down onto Demon Dragon next to the first eyeball. The difference between doing 3 and 4 slashes is very small time wise so the time it would take to drop and fuse would probably even out with waiting to fuse while on a wing. I'm also trying to drop down to Zelda at a specific time so that her position lines up and I can dive all the way to the 3rd eyeball so getting there earlier isn't necessarily better (if it put me too far away that would mess up the cycle). It's also kind of awkward trying to drop and fuse while standing on the dragon since he moves around so much.

Probably somewhere between a mid 40:XX and 41:00. My sum of best is roughly a 40:30 so playing within 30 seconds of that would be pretty difficult but not impossible.

Not yet afaik. I'm not sure what the current state of TAS tools is for switch but from what I remember it wasn't ready for full game runs. There was a Best Theoretical Time project that was started really early but it fizzled out.

Was topaz used instead of ruby because of amibo RNG or is it better? And why was it fused to sword, just for fun or any practical reason?

I use the topaz sword to shock Link in the Fuse shrine which sets up the glitch that allows me to fly across the map (arrow smuggle). The shock method is a fair bit faster than zuggle overload, but the only shock source available on the Great Sky Island is the topaz which is RNG.

I thought Speedrunners voted on starting in the room of Awakening with 6:40 on the timer to avoid having to watch the long intro cutscene at the beginning. Why aren't you doing that? EDIT: Or was it 5:40? I don't remember.

You're not wrong. At first they did, because there werent any glitches for "skipping" the beginning, but now (as you can see) they discovered some glitches to make the beginning a bit quicker so they have to do the beginning section now

Like zwumm3l said the out of bounds clip at the start is the reason I don't skip it. The community voted on adding 6:40 as the offset to account for an average intro played out without glitches so while I could run with intro skip, the out of bounds movement saves a minute. Intro out of bounds was found like a week after the vote so I never really got to skip intro for any% runs.

I used a glitch called Zuggle which duplicates my weapon. Since I duplicated the spear 4 times I deal 5x damage on top of the 2x multiplier that royal weapons get when you flurry rush with them.

There's not a separate Russian version, it's just changing the language in the system settings. The language has a few less textboxes, which makes it just barely faster than English.

I'm scanning amiibo to get a topaz which only has a 13% chance to drop each time I scan. So it's a joke that the route is like gambling since it's pretty common to reset to bad RNG. There are more consistent routes like no amiibo but they're not as fast.

Topaz allows for a faster arrow smuggle setup. In the Fuse shrine right after opening the locked door I shock myself to instantly get the bow desync instead of having to duplicate enough weapons to overload the game which takes ~10-15 seconds longer.
