I have a question, what person doesn’t have BOTW that would even be interested in that game at this point? I don’t think that PlayStation fan boys will be coming out to buy that game at this point.

Even if we don't get an update for Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, it would be nice if it ran better/smoother on the Switch 2.

Its poorly optimized, it won't matter. The screen itself will look nicer? I guess, or it'll make it even more apparent how bad it looks. Legends: arceas should look fairly good on it.

@@ShadowSkyX I LOVED Arceus! I really do hope something happens with Scarlet/Violet though, I don't think the game even really stood a chance with all the bugs.

Astral Chain doesn’t have a FPS problem it just has awful confusing controls. We need a sequel to fix that problem.

_Animal Crossing: New Horizons_ would benefit a lot from 60 fps. Also, lighting and effects outdoors could be a lot better. Also, if Switch 2 does have hardware-accelerated ray tracing, _Metroid Prime: Remastered_ could really use an update to return lightning to Samus’s weapon shots. The game would look really good if projectiles could cast light in the environment like they did in the original. It’s the only thing that’s an actual downgrade in the current Switch remaster.

I will gladly replay Xenoblade Chronicles 2. That game is so sentimental to me and it's my favorite of the series.

In terms of third party releases my first thoughts are all of Square's HD2D games, all the 3D Sonic releases and the recent Metal Gear collection (though that one should really be running at 60 as is!)

That Spirit Sword/Link mode in Zelda Echoes of Wisdom felt like a rush Jedi mode. It felt really good to play!

They're minimum 10 years behind, technology is changing too fast for them to keep up. Unless the switch is similar enough internally, they're in for a rough time.

Xenoblade 2, Age of Calamity, and Bayonetta 3 could all benefit greatly from power boosts and upgrades, but the rest of that list's needs are trivial and/or exaggerated.

I hope Nintendo just does an update download for their Switch games on Switch 2 and not release Switch 2 ports. Sony did it with PS3/PS4 and it feels like buyers remorse

It's overstated. They've lost a couple directors over the years, but people are acting like its all at once. They also act like its half the company leaving when in its even 2% of their staff. It's the same turnover rate as Nintendo's.

I will gladly put another 500+ hours into the Xenoblade trilogy if I can play them in 4k and 60 fps. Hoping for a Switch 2 upgrade of X as well 🤞

LOL. 4K60 is something the PS5 Pro barely manages. You’re setting yourself up for serious disappointment. It’s being said that anything 4K on Switch 2 will at most be 30 FPS (hopefully stable).

@@butterworthboys4985I know, but unfortunately that’s basically been debunked by Nintendo. And even if that happened, it probably wasn’t on the final consumer hardware but rather a special build for developers, for technical particularities. I‘d love 4K60 in Zelda, but the thing will be less powerful than PS5; it would be very, very hard. HD 60 BOTW is something to be happy about too (:

Very good call. That game would look _so much_ better better with improved performance/resolution. That game looks quite rough at times in its current state. Great game though.

@ strong disagree. I think that game is one of the best looking games on the system. Framerate dips don’t happen outside of characters in the far background having reduced frame rates, which is understandable and makes up for the wide draw distance given to em. Ofcourse it could look better as a Switch game tho, it’s fire, and the game itself is also amazing. But we still agree that it would benefit

The Gamescom rumors were denied by Nintendo and turned out to be fake. It’s rumored now that Switch 2 will maybe manage 4K with some games, but definitely not 60 FPS. If you’re doing a rumor channel, please keep up at least!

@ True, I do that. But mine is more grounded in reality. Google what it takes to get games in 4K60, and then tell me if you think it’s likely Nintendo achieves what with a handheld for around 450$. It’s a wishful fantasy.

​@@KZbinChannel-iq5to If the DLSS rumors are true, upscaling to 4k is very likely. And BotW already runs pretty well for what power the Switch 1 actually has. A game from 2017 running on a hardware technically already existing in 2015, - Hardware around 10 years later, plus DLSS.. can definitely run a "old" game a whole lot better. TotK on the other hand maybe not.

It’s a long shot I feel but it would be nice if Switch 1 games were naturally enhanced on Switch 2. I’d also happily settle for a chance to upgrade to 4K/60 fps for a small fee, like $5 - $10, especially for Zelda games and Xenoblade Chronicles games.

I highly doubt Nintendo would do this because even though we'll thankfully have backwards compatibility, they never do anything crazy to make the previous gen games better on the newer hardware especially with them not really being power heavy like the other companies are and they haven't really promised anything else yet regarding backwards compatibility (even though Nintendo will be a little bit more power focused this time around), I think it'll just be the typical "what you see is what you get" type of thing just like every other Nintendo system that has it.

Astral Chain is so good, and alot of peole say they want uique variety and this is prety much #1 in being unique, yet awesome and a big mistake not to pick it up. WEven though 30 fps, somehow it feels super fuid and fast. I suspect the controls are polled at 60fps, it feels so smooth somehoiw
