Each and every practice The KC Chiefs do what they call a 20 play drive. Ball is set at 20 and it's full go for 20 solid plays....the players have barely enough time to get back to the line of scrimmage. Other teams have adopted this. The guy's are dying towards the end.... It makes fourth quarter drives easier....player's say the games are easy after three weeks of training camp. EB is about being in your spot at the right time. This is why many teams or many players will always talk about wishing they had won a Super Bowl, or wish they had great coaches, but don’t know what great coaches are or what they have to do to make sure those teams and players to be the best. You have a guy that have been to three super bowls, 5 consecutive conference championships, won two Super Bowl, multiple seasons of 10+ wins, yet is not able to be a coach, because apparently players are complaining about the intensity. While the proof is in the pudding, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill and many others that have been coach by EB, have been the best in the league or have had the most successful season of their careers. This is why when you have the media hyping up these teams that have not prove squat, get put in this space of Super Bowl, when some have not been able to even make it to the playoff or can’t even reach Conference Championships, but every year are in Championships talk. Reasons are now players wants friends, when the actual coaches for true successes are being looked over, due to players making statement such as this. Carson Wentz wanted to be babied, now look at what is happening to his career, or go take a look at players that wanted to be babied and see where they are at while the ones that truly understand great coaches from NBA, NFL and the many other sports that have had great players, HOFs, have had coaches that are not looking to babied anyone, just have an understanding to each players, so if a coach is intense that due to how uninspiring you are practicing and doesn’t want you or your career to go down the dump, once you hit the field. Talking about I want to be like Mike, Kobe, Lebron, Tom Brady, Payton Manning, ED Reed, LT and many more that have paved the way and yet complaining about intensity. Fans needs to stop asking why does our team stink, cause statement like these, are why your teams stinks.
@brob8204 Жыл бұрын
I appreciate you having EB's back. Here's the thing. Eric Bienemy has interviewed w/ 17 teams. That's over half the league. It has to be a 'you' point at some point, at least a little.
@georgesharrison6158 Жыл бұрын
@@brob8204 I don’t disagree with that, but how many coaches have gotten a chance even though the problem was them. Last time a conversation was being had about EB not being a coach, it was said that maybe it is due to Andy Reid and what kind of a coach he is, and the success of the team could be due to the system that Andy Reid created, then it has to do with EB. Yet the man have run an offense that doesn’t surpass top 10 regardless of talents, he still figure a way to win. Sports is about winning, Tom Brady went to the Bucs and he wasn’t always on the same page as the coach, due to the methods, yet he understood the difference between how Bill was and how Bruce Arians was, and learn to adjust. Winning comes with a price in whatever sports, so because he is Intense, that doesn’t mean he is a bad coach. The 17 teams that didn’t give him a chance, a lot of those teams are where exactly, and how many coaches have they been through so far. The NFL is a buddy type league, and a league that uses excuses to why they don’t hire an individual, so it is not okay to add more to a situation, and what is being added is what a team is lacking. Do you believe that the Washington Commanders Players should be complaining about intensity??

I dunno, calling players soft is kind of missing the point. Every generation is different. Back in the day, it was acceptable to treat grown men like they were still in high school, and maybe that worked for that generation. But these days, players expect some kind of respect as a grown man and as a leader of grown men, you gotta be able to meet them halfway sometimes. This isn’t the military, or life and death. It’s a game where the player’s are being paid just as much and even more than the coaches. Not saying that Bienemy’s style is wrong, but maybe he just wasn’t reading the room and was too harsh with his first impression. You gotta connect with people and ease them into your style of coaching instead of hitting people that you just met over the head. Rivera also needs to have his guy’s back and provide a calming force for Bienemy’s energy like Andy Reid did. Bienemy worked in the KC system because Andy is a genius at reading the room and balancing out the harshness that he provides. Rivera can do that as well, but not when he’s exposing locker room stuff to the media.
