Oh stop with the situation stuff. Before the season started all these "experts" universally agreed Caleb Williams was going to the best spot for any rookie QB ever (their words) and Jayden Daniels was going to be the sacrificial rookie QB, going to a team with a bad O line, few weapons, a defensive and reheated head coach and to team also known for fumbling young QBs. Jayden Daniels talent shined through all of that and elevated everything around him, just like Stroud did with the Texans last season (a very similar situation). Talent shines through even in bad situations, like Matt Stafford for the first decade of his career and even Drake Maye's talent is shining on a way worse situation on the Patriots.
@chrisk340512 сағат бұрын
I agree and disagree. Jayden is better than Caleb, it’s delusional to think otherwise. But everyone was wildly wrong to say Caleb was coming into the best situation ever. Having a bunch of great receivers isn’t what a young qb needs. He needs a run game, an OL, and a coach who can help him get rid of some of his bad tendencies. The only thing the bears are close to having of those is a run game

GIVE ME A BREAK. “Is it more of the situation Jayden is in Vs what Caleb is in?” Are you kidding me? Before the season people were saying Caleb was going into the best situation a first (overall)round pick had ever gone into. The Bears won almost twice as many games as the Skins did last year. Nobody was expecitng the Skins to be any good this year and talking about the lack of playmakers and stuff, yet now it’s Daniels in the better position? The flip-flopping is absolutely ridiculous

Im a Lions fans and I wanted Verse, Terrion or Quinyon. Quinyon is the real deal and his speed and strength for a CB are high level, he has all the makings of being one of those yearly pro bowl type dudes. Terrion has struggled with PIs, but seems to be in position most times to make a play, Arnold just needs to work on locating the ball.

@BiggieTrismegistus10 сағат бұрын
@@DetroitTylerI was happy with the Terrion Arnold pick and he's already cut down on the PIs that plagued him earlier this season. I agree that he needs to locate the ball better but for a rookie CB I can't really complain about how he's played. I'm also interested to see what the Lions have in Ennis Rakestraw. If he develops into a reliable starter the Lions could have a good and very young secondary that could potentially play together for years.

Mel can draft after the draft but don't trust his pre-draft advise. @WordAte13 сағат бұрын
They definitely rushed him before he was ready. That is an organizational problem. They would have been smarter to keep Fields there for two or three years to give Williams someone to learn from. But we are happy having Fields over here in Pittsburgh. He will be elite in 2025 or 2026. And he is an outstanding backup right now. I had hope for Trubisky two years ago. But he was too broken, impatient, and stuck in his trauma. He was fleeing every pocket even in good protection. And he was doubting himself and not throwing in time.

So called experts time and time again failed to say what I had been screaming about Williams all last season. Caleb solely relied on improvisation so it was impossible to know if he had any ability at all to go through progressions and reads, the most important part of a QBs toolkit. He’s never had to scan the field from the pocket and go through progressions and I said all last year he was going to be a huge bust and that Daniels Maye and McCarthy would end up having better careers.
