ngl 500 credits is alot worse than 1k coin but its just as bad as 1k bling. For players with every brawler unlocked the last thing you want from a level 3 stardrop is a measly 500 credits that gets voided into fame. Supposedly the credits appear when i get a skin that i already have (500 for rares and 1k for epics i think) instead of maybe increasing the odds of getting new skins.
