See a lot of high level FH players dodge forward on their opponent often. Just noticed you did it after blocking, does the forward dodge give you an advantage?

Its to bait, if an opponent sees you dodge forward they will be expecting a bash, which they will then instinctively try to dodge, leaving them open to a guard break or other type of punish
