I noticed Moore, Bissouma and Romero ... all chewing gum .. to some that's not a big deal .. to ME, it's a reflection of the player's mentality coming on that pitch Palace were playing with their backs against the wall. They HAD to win and SOON. And Tottenham allowed them to start on the front foot. We didn't deal with their press well at all. Ended up knocking too many long balls and IF we were gonna do that, then WERNER and not MOORE was your man. We played better when he came on with Richy and had Solanke dropping back. I think everyone, including ANGE, drank the Mikey Moore cool aid from Thursday night. He is going to be a very good and important player but this game in front of THOSE loud fans was not the one to give him his first start. Once Palace fans saw how their team was playing aggressive, they got 10000% behind them and once Palace scored, you felt there was only gonna be one team who was gonna win that match. Vicario kept it 1-0 otherwise we would probably have a bigger loss than even v Brighton. Palace missed too many chances and they allowed us opportunities to get back in it. We didn't. Still a work in progress. NO the match vs City won't be anything like this. Like I said the players thought this was gonna be easy. And by the time they woke up, it was basically too late. We're not that level yet where we can play bad and still come away with something ... not when our CB's make mistakes like VDV did today

If there is anything to take from this game, we didn't fold. It's important that we see the great performance of Vicario here too, often exposed. As much as VDV should have cleared, he won't thank Romero for that really poor lofted ball across the box, which from my perspective, was suicidal. We could not cope with Palace's physicality all match. `Ange tried to change it but it just didn't work today. A final shout to Crystal Palace as I don't want to take away from their outstanding performance.
