What about people who paid hundreds of dollars to go see their hero in Walsh pjay? Do they get their money back too, shall we feel sorry for those fans...the fan and game image argument is out the window, only God stopped Reece from getting his neck broken or worse

They had 7 days in camp to come up with a plan to stop Walsh....now we know what it was. Shameful.

Absolutely correct. The NSW coach must have given instructions to Sua'ali'i to rub-out Walsh. Sack the stinking coach.

I actually feel sorry for Sua'alii that his coach has left him to blow in the breeze. He knows that was what he told him to do, we all know. Obviously, that wasn't the desired outcome , but it was the desired play. Now, if I were Maguire, I would not leave the young man hanging on his own, and I would inspire my teams loyalty by taking responsibility for my role in this. Not inspire my team by showing them how weak my moral character is.

Are you deaf? Everyone’s plan to ya for Walsh is jam up in. We’ve seen it over and over with Walsh. There’s nothing new here. And nothing will change. Jamming up and in is the only way to handle him. If you give him time and space you’re f***ed. And there is nothing illegal about jamming up and in. Walsh is just gonna need to stay on his feet and stop slipping and dipping into contact.

If he doesn't slip maybe he doesn't hit him high. Who knows but he had to go. All this targeting Walsh to take him out is crap.

Yep it's NSW game plan to target RW. She the body position how the JS came in to contact. Send of is justified for player safety. Go QLD Maroons.

@@stevemadden9329 Suaali'i is nearly 2m tall, Walsh isn't even 180cm. Suaali'i BARELY hinged at the hips, he needed to aim lower, that "normal tackle height" doesn't apply in this situation.

If Walsh didn't slip, he still hits him borderline high, plus the tackle was late. Send off all day, everyday.

BS watch the replay, he watched him almost all the way to contact then turned his head. He knew what he was doing and Walsh wasn't slipping he saw him coming and was leaning back to limit the impact.

Stop blaming the rules and blame Joey every player should know by now there’s an element of risk when you shoot out of the line to put a hit on you need to be inch perfect to land ie. Liam Martins was picture perfect

Blame Walsh for dipping down AND then slipping as well. Two things Walsh did that lowered his head. Walsh is the reason Walsh got slept.

Does not matter what your training is - duty of care and safety of players trumps everything. If the first attack on Walsh was penalised (hit in air while catching the ball) then the tackle probably doesn't happen.

Reece Walsh didn't slip that much at all honestly look at the contact, it was always going to be high contact. How are you coming up with this thing saying it would've hit him in the chest? Seriously actually watch the replay. It's so frustrating watching people blame the slip for the contact. Wtf is wrong with you

NSW would still have been beaten by 20 points even with 13 players. They need to select a team that can tackle. Fullstop.

Hammer to fullback wow. if only that didn't happen NSW wouldv'e won Every time the Blues have a chance to win than they shoot themselves in the foot !!!!!!!! BTW as a Hammer is the best fullback in the world . Period I'm a Broncos

Big difference Liam Martin aims for the bread basket and folds blokes in half. There is no chance of him tackling high with his technique. Joseph used no arms and aims for just below the neck. He barely bent his back and jumped off the ground to make the tackle.

Walsh slipped yes but he didnt drop 12 inches even if he didn't slip he was still getting hit in the head. If that was cleary hit like that seven minutes in you would be asking for a send off as well . Seven minutes in or seventy minutes in it doesn't matter.

Union fans went through all these thoughts and emotions, like word for word, when Sam Cane (the captain) got a red card in the World Cup final last year in the first 15 minutes or so. Not sure what my point is but just uncanny dejavu, this is not the first or last time.

Qld had obviously trained for the up and in defence. Simple draw and pass and the hammer ran straight to where Joseph should have been defending. Even if Joseph came back after 10mins, he's got hammer and cobbo running the same play. Now he's got to decide, do i do it again or do i let hammer run.

Not enough people talking about the fact that if you just allow these sorta tackles, you won't have any more quality players in the top level of the game. All of them will be having to retire early because of the brain injuries happening left, right and centre. "Game was ruined after 7 mins" >>> "Game was ruined because we let all the top level players get too seriously injured and no one wants to play anymore".

Rules are Rules , and have to be respected by either sides. The decision by the Referee was according to the Rugby League and I don't think the ref was wrong with his decision. He takes such action so it will support him to control and execute his duties more strictly as a Referee.

A much better game plan would have been intense line speed and shutting down QLD pack. Reece Walsh can’t do much in a team with the pack getting dominated. Instead we got players trying to be hero’s and take him out.

I don’t think people understand that qld as a team do not play 80 mins they always play reserved in the middle of games because they always flick the switch in the last 20…. Just look at the 65th min And look at last years gamess Maroons won the start 20 and the last 20 The fact these guys aren’t realising this is a reason why they were on that losing side for 8 year

Stop trying explain why it’s not red card. According to the rules, It’s a send of. Simples. Just change the red card rules to rugby union rules. Send of gone for the whole game but bring in the 18th man after 20mins. Done!

Unfortunately that is not gonna work. Teams would just put a bum in the run team to knock out the best player on the other Team knowing that he is gonna be sent off and activate their 18th man who would probably be a gun player. Coachs will always find ways to get around rules.

Please read my comment aloud. Nichos defence is very weak and lacks creativity at Origin Level 🎚️. He belongs to club land forever ♾️. He's getting a free AUD30,000 for skipping around the paddock doing nothing. I don't need to be a superstar coach to see this. I am a simple university student .He shouldn't be picked at the first place. Moses needs to save this Series.
