maybe someone can answer me this .. but I see a lot of those Corners having a bunch of contact way outside of the 5 yard marker ... is like everyone of those illegal ? or is there some kind of tolerance when it comes to like "battling arm positions" etc. (I'm not a native english speaker, NFL fan since a year, so forgive a poor choice of words and gaps in my knowledge)

there's multiple angles to this. main thing is, a huge part of playing corner is knowing how to disguise/get away with contact. the great ones are elite at this. (for reference, go look at darrelle revis or sauce gardner one on one highlights) another thing is, you can make contact with the reciever, as long as you don't impede them. so things like pulling them or grabbing them in a way that stops their momentum or forces them to completely slow down is more likely to draw a flag. but if you simply put your hands on them to feel them, or use your body to lean on them, that's all fine. and finally, this is a personal opinion but i think recievers have it WAY to easy with all the rule changes. so it makes playing cornerback harder than ever. weak little pass interference calls make the game less fair and less fun to watch. so i don't mind when DBs get away with stuff most of the time, as long as it's not totally egregious -- like this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rpvZi3uDpMmSaac

I can’t believe they picked this flag up which they correctly threw 9:16 good lord he literally never made a single play on the ball and there was contact, quintessential head turn precedent. Well I can’t wait for this season to the Cornerbacks lockdown Wide Receivers but they can’t lockdown the Best Wide Receiver in the NFL is the Minnesota Vikings Justin Jefferson. I can’t wait for the Year 2 of Mekhi Blackmon with insane rookie season with not allowing a single touchdown except one Vs Broncos that the Vikings would’ve of won it all. Those Cornerbacks that they are going against Justin Jefferson next season will be hard because they can’t stop the Best Receiver in the NFL because JJ can do anything when he is in coverage. Christmas Game of Lions and Vikings of Rookie Vs Rookie and I think that should been penalty on the rookie for holding on too Jordan Addison and made him get injured for no reason and he was out of that game.
