Christina Maria Jessen He did have the foresight to try and stop his students experimentation as soon as he knew that it wasn’t something to be trifled with, and finding a way to unlock the secrets of the heart as well as being the king of a pretty large and well developed city show he’s no fool. Besides he did make a digital world for Roxas and a healing pod so he’s definitely got some smarts.

This is the best of the 2nd Visits. So much Lore and Crossover action between Square and Disney in this section. There is actual weight to the plot events here and better use of music. They really treated Tron with some respect here, and that I salute. Almost makes me forget Disney kept trying to bury this movie for two decades prior. Almost.

This is probably one of the most heartwarming moments in Kingdom Hearts 2 which is not forced or over-dramatic or any such thing. And most importantly, it felt very real and natural. Also, is this one of the few times Sora has received a non-comical hug? If so, I feel really bad for him and want to hug him. Hugs are nice.

Brandon Minich only thing is, Merlin’s magic hit just as the cd was coming out. Also his magic tends to be benign if not beneficial. The pc caught fire and yet the program work immediately. Sora and crew felt Merlin’s magic too. I think Merlin somehow magically debugged the program ensuring it would work. It really was a combined effort.

Longer combos arent bad. Keyblades like Decisive Pumpkin deal insane amounts of damage with finishers based on the length of the combo. If you're having trouble with getting the final kill on bosses use thunder since all magic counts as combo finishers. Some Advice for the superbosses: Use Decisive Pumpkin for pretty much all of them , it has High strength Great reach and the aformentioned crazy damage for ground finishers. Get good at using reflect magic, dodge rolls, and blocking, you will need it. (don't use the wisdom form slide ability except for puzzle pieces)

Longer combos also means more Reflect spams, which is essential for certain endgame bosses

Regarding combos - There are ups and downs to them. Because many endgame bosses gain invulnerability after being hit by a certain number of finishers, it can ALSO be VERY good to have long combos - just not ones that have multiple finishers in a row. I think it's absolutely a matter of preference as well as being a bit boss-dependent.

pretty much this. For mob fights you want to go straight to finishers without a long combo, while bosses you want the opposite.

So. Yes. Shorter combos means it is much easier to FINISH a boss, but there are specific abilities you can get to do way more damage the longer your combo gets (Decisive Pumpkin has one of those abilities). Typically I find that having a long string ground combo and short string air combo is best long term, since you use ground hits to maximize damage and then an air combo to finish it,but you do what feels best to you.

Yeah we've seen footage of the Toy Story world where you have Donald, Goofy, Woody and Buzz in your team all at once. Same with the Monsters Inc world I think too. So it's definitely confirmed that you don't need to swap out Donald or Goofy anymore.

One thing about using finishers to finish bosses, other attacks can also register as finishing blows. Limits and Reaction Commands can end a boss fight, as well as using magic and certain attacks like Horizontal Slash and Upper Slash. So if a boss is at the last sliver of health, you can just use magic to end it (like sniping them with Thunder, assuming they're not immune) or sneak in Upper Slash during a ground combo to end it faster.

I actually used that Lion Keyblade to beat Sephiroth. I slapped on all Combo+, all Combo Finisher+, and that one ability that makes your finishers more powerful the longer your maximum combo count is. So it can be put into a useful build.

If you know the Revenge Values of the bosses and have good timing with blocks and dodges, using x2 Combo Boost from the Halloweentown keyblade gets insane with damage.

That's interesting. The tips I got at the time were to shorten your combos so as to minimise the chance of him countering and just take your hits where you could get em. That worked for me, anyway.

My tactic was using an ability that would send him up in the air and then pelt him with a super long Air Combo, because he can't do shit when he's in the air. Whenever he did his Heartless Angel bullshit, I either used Trinity Limit (which, if Sora doesn't have any companions with him, makes him fly straight towards his goal and hit it) or, if I didn't have enough MP, I simply got ready to use a Hi-Potion. I think I was in the low-to-mid 80s. Might have been high 80s. In any case, it was still under Lv 99, which was what I needed when I fought him in KH1.

There are a handful of bosses and other encounters (that I do believe Dan intends to do) that are severely reduced in difficulty - or in one case, completely cheesed - by doing what he mentions here with the ability "Negative Combo". With the naturally learned one and the one from a keyblade he should get later, every attack is a combo finished. I won't go into full details here, but some bosses have a mechanic for breaking out of a stun or stagger lock based on your combo, and this makes it very, very easy to control it indeed!

It does have to be the last hit, but some attacks (all spells, upper slash, and horizontal slash, to name a few) can be triggered at any point in a combo to end the fight.

i always assumed the extra damage of longer combo would compensate by far the "minor" disadvantage of finishing bosses and would still make the fight shorter but i never invested much time in theory crafting. interesting ! (i assumed that each strike deals more than the last so the "scaling" of long combos must be good but i may be wrong ?)

There are two annoyances with bosses when you have a long combo. One is that they don't die until you get to the finishers; the other is that they have ways to combo-break you. Any boss who breaks long combos gets very frustrating to try to kill through direct attacks. I've not tried working out actual damage rates for long v short combos, so I can't comment on that side of things (and I've no idea whether the regular hits show any meaningful scaling as the combo progresses). When it comes to regular enemies, I like to tune my combo length so that they just barely die to one combo (having a longer combo than that means doing additional regular hits, so taking longer to kill - plus splash damage from certain finishers is helpful against swarms...).

Dan, please please pleeeeeeeease try out using Horizontal Slash. It counts as a combo finisher for bosses and easily one of the strongest moves IMO, when you know how to properly use it (especiallllllllyyyyyyy with Beserk Charge) EDIT 14:01 Dan, I believe from all the KH3 footage I've seen, the Disney companions don't replace Donald and Goofy. I can't imagine they'd change that this far into the development cycle

Salted chocolate is a thing. Chocolate coated potato chips are a thing. My friends used to dump a bag of m&ms into a tub of popcorn at the cinema. There are also salt candies for replenishing minerals in the summer. As a flavour combination, it's a good one. The trick is that the sweet should overpower but not completely overwhelm the salt.
