Can I just say, the music from Sora and Riku combining into Dearly Beloved is an absolutely beautiful moment. It's little moments like that which help cut through the fluffed up story, at least for me.

9:46 Holy heck, I honestly wasn't expecting Dearly Beloved to start playing there, but it was definitely a very pleasant surprise, because it's actually my favorite song from any video game. Say what you will about certain parts of the games themselves, but, one thing I'm sure we can all agree on is the fact that the soundtrack is freaking amazing. Yoko Shimomura is a musical genius.

Appropriate, since it's apparently the one that will introduce time travel to the series. 16:40: I'm surprised the Fantasia level was shorter than average. I would have thought it'd be completed in common time. 23:50: What _is_ Chernabog in Kingdom Hearts lore? Some kind of uber-Heartless? A demon or primal god or whatever he's supposed to be? Just a guy? 27:10: I mean, Fantasia!Chernabog is designed more like Satan than a dualistic Slavic deity. 32:35: I don't know which fits the line worse-the delivery, or the context of "Plot information from the first game was brought up to people who were all there or watching". 0:50: Sounds like northwest Indiana, except we skew towards less-hot summers and longer, colder winters. And I haven't actually seen a tornado in person, though I've seen plenty of tornado warnings. 7:30: ...Should I know who that is? Is it Xehanort from that year in high school he he bleached and grew his hair out? Marluxia or...Lamuria or whatever before he found a hair dye he liked, and also he has a tan? _Who is he?_ 12:20: This is the worst Mario Kart boss I've seen in a while. 20:15: Riku is too angsty to glide, apparently. (I wonder if Sora can glide with Riku on his back; a team attack where Riku rides Sora like a surfboard would be pretty hilarious. And easy to describe poorly.) 23:55: I like the not-Gummi-Ship mechanics being used within the levels themselves. Makes them feel less like an abrupt change of pace.

I don't know if they re-did the balance for drop points in this version, but I remember always having enough to get maximum drop rate slowing, the command, and one or two other significant buffs, and I was also on proud mode like our wonderful host here. Was there any changes to drop points between the versions?

Silly me, thinking that Kingdom Hearts would at some point explain what the Sound Idea is, or at least how the characters know what to do with them. There hasn't been a sound idea in this series since Aqua got lost in the shadow realm.

I think that's probably just a pun- it's a literal "idea for a sound". but yeah it's like the series want's to be impenetrably convoluted if you don't have time travel in the first episode, you should not have had time travel by the third season.

The rules of time travel as laid down in this game are simple, coherent, and allow for some decent storytelling. They are also completely incompatible with Timeless River back in KH2... 1) You can only time travel to somewhen you already are 2) You can't take your body with you
