Good vid, never had I thought to consider madden a roguelike but it definitely has those elements and that's a neat idea I'll be thinking about for a bit.

Haha yeah each season kind of plays out that way

But that's like calling Street Fighter a roguelike because each match is different

The difference with a sports game season mode is you actually make roster changes, trades, etc pre game, so your approach to the games can be completely different

@@SpawnTrapped fair enough. Personally, I don't feel like there's much correlation between rogue-likes and competitive gaming but agree to disagree.

Ye know, roguelites are usually more fun than roguelikes(and most "roguelikes" are roguelites, as roguelites involve getting stuff that persists over runs, e.g unlocks)

I guess I don't know the difference 😂

@@SpawnTrapped Roguelike is ALLLL abouth that momento mori...you got one life and you make the best of it.Every action you take feel more important than any other game.Saving npc, finding a rare item or power, managing to survive that one boss...everything feel more epic because you value that one life and that everything could be taken away from you if you dont think abouth what you are doing...anyway,when you finaly manage to beat the game, its the best feeling in the world.

First time I played Roguelike, it was Meme Mayhem. I compare them to the Thunder, where you can't predict where the lighting land and it's all about instant decision, hoping the line will go further. But yeah, as someone who is used to classic game, I hate Roguelike. The fact that you lose on something you didn't have control is unfair! Plus I don't find satisfaction in finishing a run. Once you win, you forget about it because they are nothing but wind. Well, classic game can be seen as such, once you finish, you play something else but you can replay them with or without challenge, and make good experience. Roguelike is hoping to win, no matter how you do it. It's controlled gambling. It's not about the journey, it's the end. I get the point of Roguelike, it's different experience and replay-ability but as say in the previous line, what's the point?

im not a hardcore gamer and am basically unfamiliar with this genre of game maybe thats why, but i dont understand why people like games like hades and deadcells, the levels are random and unpurposeful and non alive, and i should just suppose to fight the ememies with same style of fighting style or same style of ememies in unpurposeful same type of area, for me little bit of change in all those are not enough, and all these things makes these games light and small for me, thats why i dont get it why people like them so so much, or maybe i havent played them enough and more rogue like games, maybe this Have a nice D game will change my mind a little it about rouge likes, maybe its just about the specific game, and this Have a nice D game looks like a action platformer or a metroidvania maybe thats why it seems appealing to me. But i think come to think of it , this genre might work for me for un personality games like galaga or something
