Hey! My name is Mariano, and this channel was created to share some poker sessions and travel.
In this episode, I visit the Bicycle Casino for some $5-$10 action. The poker room has been set up outdoors... the wrong type of running hot. Oh well, life is good anyway.
I hope you enjoy the content. Subscribe for more!

I disagree (partially) about the nemesis's check with AJ of clubs (after the turn-card gave him the flush.) Once you checked the turn, you are (nearly always) giving the appearance of being on the defensive, as the new high-hands have RADICALLY changed. By him checking, it accomplishes a lot: It puts you (the flop aggressor) more at ease, and you're vastly more likely to lead the river, or at least call a sizeable river bet. Also, a lot of your "check-calling" range (on the turn) is going to be K(x) with one club, or two broad-way cards. He wanted to give you a chance to hit an inferior flush or some kind of straight. Don't get me wrong, betting is the better decision between betting and checking. BUT, I see some merit to working in some checks as well.
@khaimeariver

TT hand, you played it kinda of weird. NUT flush isn't going anywhere. HAD you shove on the FLOP, he would called. You played it way to passive. You missed an opportunity to extract more value.

On that first hand w/ A2s jw if a 1/4 or 1/3 cbet sometimes would deny some equity from smalls pairs/Ax//KQ hands? Given you can still bend some JT/AT/KT hands ott 1/3 otf then 3/4 ott. Or long term not good? Or even an overbet otf/ shut down on some turns that help his range and continue with cards that help u obv. Idk just wondering

One thing I notice about the bass you include, is that quite a few times you fall for traps. I’m a sneaky player myself, and I both cringe and delight when I hear you say “we check the turn. He checks back. I’m feeling a lot better about my hand now” You’re lucky you made a boat with that big pocket 10 hand. Because at that moment just before the river, he had you trapped. You obviously have a strong understanding of stats and probs. Good gto play. You can guess likely ranges off of position and sizing. But where I. See your biggest losses in these vlogs are to the rare great players, who play explotatively, Now there’s terrible exploit players, who have very little understanding of the maths, and just try to sense weakness and hone in. But the great exploit players have a strong understanding of gto. They simply take it to the next level by playing a meta game. “He knows I’m in this position, and made this sizing, he’s likely put me on Jack weak kicker or something. I just made a flush. If I check here, it will lend support to his thesis. Meaning he will bet the river much harder”

See we have to theorize a little bit more on the rationale behind AJ, suited or unsuited. You said that he should have a lot more flushes once it came in on the turn, so you checked it for information but he played it how a "thinking player" would if the lottery landed in your lap. Hindsight is the root of all evil in this game, we know, but I swear Ace-Jack would be the title of a bestseller that materializes the mysteriousness of hands such as that on the button. In the long run, he should probably be betting more, but the super fine line of deceptive playability is my biggest interest.

For the KJcc hand either squeeze or fold pre. Cold calling in the sb is rarely good, esp with this exact hand. Occasionally I will cold call the sb with medium pocket pairs and suited aces when there is a whale at the table who I want to keep in the hand. I'll try to be there friday, look forward to battling it out.

Folding is an awful advice. Any pro can flat KJs profitably from SB with fish involved in the pot. Position matters less multiway than HU. Hate me if you want, but you seem to be brainwashed by GTO 😆

@@paalsandmo9728 great squeeze candidate unless the PFR is extremely tight. Folding is slightly better than calling but it's close. And position DOES matter even more in multiway situations as our hands will realize equity very poorly when we are OOP against the entire table.
