I also have have a dead battery in my good old Gamecube! I ordered a couple of batteries for the clock and I'm gonna change it myself this weekend. It's not a complicated task, but of course requires suitable equipment and a little bit of experience. I'm glad such service is available to you in your area! I had no choice but to do it myself lol. (I originally bought the soldering iron so that I could install Xstation optical drive emulator to a PS1, which was quite a bit more complex, but it went alright!)
