it's bc of the authenticity isn't it. the weird 3d graphics, the jank, lacey just dresses up and clicks st stuff in a WILDLY minimalistic version of some ai-generated chibi flash game or high school simulator 2018 flash game then it glitches midway and boom! trauma and trigger warning in the description moment. like i might be a ghosttundra fan but this is literally lacey tbh 😭

lacey is the original, she does compete because.. its the original, and its unique out of the other copies because it has an actual storyline, and its not trying to be so creepy that it gets out of hand and triggering like most of the others do.

A friend of mine used to play this obscure pc game while it was in development and the combination of the general alone feeling and the background music that sometimes seemed it was reversed seemed so eerie, especially when it was night in-game

Theres another game lost like this called slimeking tower its basically binding of isaac, it has the same popup boxes except they usually spit out errors and pop up when you need to type in your name, only the old apk versions of the game work and the current version is broken it forces you to input a username and crashes when you do, i assume something to do with this engine they use i thought was unity but i don't know if it is caused the games to be discontinued, whether its because its malware or a security risk, or because it no longer works or is hosted i don't know.
