I like how everyone calls shadowheart a racist due to the one off handed comment about Gith she makes, meanwhile Lae'zal can't go though a single conversation without mentioning how disgusting every race is and her people canonically murder random people simply cause they view them as inferior to them

They're doing it to mess with people who romance her. She's the only normal, pretty girl in the party, after all. Other than her, your options are Burn Victim and Toad Girl. It's also to poke fun at the edgelords who see kindred spirit in her. I swear around the table her character is played by a 14 year old girl who dresses in all black, self harms, and claims to worship "dark gods".

@baydiac

One off-handed comment? She keeps doing it. Consistently. Like, non-stop. It’s to the point that she accepted a duel at dawn with Lae’zel only to try to slit her throat in her sleep, assuring Lae’zel that no one would believe it was murder since she’d tell everyone she was turning into a mind-flayer. The next interaction with Shadowheart after tactfully letting her know that, no, you’re actually watching the whole thing so maybe don’t do that? “Now that you defused the situation with Lae’zel we can finally sleep peacefully.” As if she wasn’t a deadlier bedroll-buddy than Astarion! Lae’zel is her own can of worms alright, but Shadowheart is a true blue racist. It’s right down to her bones, just like in real life. The “point the finger at the victim” routine is such a classic I laughed out loud.

Idk I felt like BG3 pigeonholed me with dialogue options at every turn :/ Like, if you play an origin character, the dialogue options don't really account for their personality. If you're playing Astarion or Shadowheart then picking snarky/sarcastic options doesn't work because the game can't account for that and reacts as if you chose the dialogue option completely in earnest. It makes sense, because it would suck more to pick a dialogue option and it turns out you're being an ass, but... ugh.

Now hear me out. Bards Slashing Flourish actually works as 2 attacks with ranged weapon and still consider just as attack action. So you can make 4 attacks per action with extra attack. We can wield 2 hand crossbows to also attack with left hand as bonus action. 1 action = 4 attacks action surge = 4 attacks pre-haste = 2 attack(bc no more bard dice) bonus action = 1 attack bonus action thanks to thief = 1 attack bonus action thanks to helmet = 1 attack So, 13 attacks. Which kinda sinergies a bit with Sharpshooter which would increase your ranged attack damage with flat +10. It'll take 6 levels into bard of swords, 3 levels into thief and 2 levels into fighter. If you are concerned about hit chance you can take 2 levels of barbarian instead of rogue. You will have 1 less attack, but advantage on all of them.

But i consider it gamebreaking since Slashing Flourish shouldn't work that way

Both gale and karlach got lost to my party via convos that ended in combat. So i (rog/lock) mainly use astarion (rogue/ranger) shadowheart (tempest cl 2/ storm sorc 3+) and wyll (wiz /bard/ sorc). Made laezel a shdwmnk/theif but i dont really run her. Second playthrough i hope to get the others.

Great video! Your playthrough showed me a TON of alternatives the game has for solutions that I never considered. I pretty much solved all of those the same way I did back in early access, no idea that some things (like tricking the ghouls into the boulder cave) were possible.

Halsin is in the goblin camp because he wanted to try and convince them of their "infections" and to aid Aradin in looking for the nightsong which is suspected to be under the temple. AND although cool little rp way to play, basically shoving everyone off cliffs prevents you from getting some pretty nice loot on their bodies....

this video embodies a certain feeling I always have in games like these where if I see an unattended NPC and I know I could get away with it, it's just _so tempting_ to kill them. it's why I would always play Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim, because I needed to satiate my bloodlust. shame that there's not much reward for it in BG3 so you kinda have to go a good route if you want to get the full experience.

I actually had a whoooole other contingency plan using silence/arcane lock for Priestess Gut! If for some reason I could not push her off the ledge I would have to initiate combat but I’d try to silence her from calling reinforcements, and if it didn’t work just arcane lock the door so no one could come in!
