This is day 146 of my journey to get to a rating of 2000 on chess.com.
In this game we play the Classical Dutch Defense.
I need to study my end games because it seems like a few king moves and I could have won this one. But I'm thankful we didn't lose!
So far on the series:
93 wins 8 draws 74 losses

End games are tough man. Just started actually studying them/learning about them for real this week after not bothering for the three years I've been playing. And i love that you're playing the Dutch, keep it up!

Do you also play the Dutch?? Yeah man, I could have played much better in this endgame, definitely an area that I can work on!

Yeah man, I like Simon Williams' content so I play Jobava and the Dutch hah. That's one reason why your video caught my eye like 100(?) days ago when I started watching your stuff. It's fun to see how you play the same openings with you being a little stronger in rapid. Oh yeah, and not that I know much, but I recommend thinking about fianchettoing the light squared bishop if white doesn't do it (which is mainline theory but we are at newbie level still so white doesn't do it much because they don't know the Dutch). It makes your bishop quite strong and can lead to some really fun attacks and also to a mate on g2 if white is careless.

@@JCivX yes bro! I basically play all his openings because I love his style and content haha! Yes, I'm glad I fianchettoed this past game! Hopefully I can play better throughout the rest though!

@Blunder_Man hell yeah! I should probably learn the Black Lion to complete my GingerGM repertoire but I think I'll stick with my Scandinavian against d4 for now hah

@@JCivX I wasn't as much of a fan of the black lion. I've really been enjoying the sicilian, it's just so solid and so many tactics arise!

I like the fact that you think about a lot of options during the entire game, the opponent was clearly throwing random moves (hope chess). Kinda hate these kind of players😅

Thanks Milan! I def still play hope chess occasionally and I'm not the best player, but I'm trying to improve and figure the game out more and more as I go! Thanks for the feedback, hope to see you around here!

nice game, he tried to flag u at the end though, pretty unsportsmanlike tbh since it was a dead draw

I'm totally okay with it, if someone can get a win with their time advantage it's still a win, but yeah, everyone has different views on this stuff :P
