I think it goes like this: The person in the chair chooses a word and they give the first letter. When someone in the team thinks of a word starting with that letter, they give a clue word that is similar (For example, if I was in the chair and I said e, someone in the team could think of the word elephant and say trunk). If someone else in the team thinks of what the person is trying to say, they say contact. After 1, 2, 3, if they both say the same word, then the chair person has to give the next letter. The person in the chair can block however, by guessing and saying the word before they all say it out loud (For example, someone says trunk and 2 others say contact, I could say elephant and block them from getting the letter).

Cyntina P basically you choose a word (apple for example), and you give the first letter. so it will be A----. The other team members must choose words that starts with A, for example if ryan chose A word like 'ants', he will give hints like 'small animal'. The rest of the group will use ryan's hints to guess "ants". for example if paco knows the word is ants, he will say contact. Once he says contact, you need to block the word by guessing ants. if you pass, and paco gets ants right, then you will reveal the next letter which is P, so now they know its AP---. Now they use the word AP to choose other words to contact. You keep on going till all the letters of apple is found, or until the team members guess that your word is apple. Sorry if you still don't understand lol but its much funner to watch if you get itt

basically a person(x) chooses a word and says the 1st letter (for example a) the rest of them now have to choose a person(y) who thinks of a word (eg. apple) and says a word that may relate to it for example fruit. whoever thinks they have the same word in mind as y should say contact. they say it together and if y's and everyone else's word matches, x should reveal another letter from his word now, if x finds this word he can say it and block them. this way another letter is not revealed. the group chooses another person to say a word and relate to it. the game goes on till all letters are revealed or till the team guesses x's word

Ok, I finally understand the game now, basically, the person in the chair comes up with a word and gives the first letter to the word. It is the task of the people on the couch to guess the word by using the letters given. An example, when Will said that his word started with the letter "D" they had to say a word that he could respond with without releasing the word so when Paco said CONTACT and the word, "Plus", Wills' response was "Disney". This meant that Will didn't have to reveal another letter. Then Daina said CONTACT and the word, "Michigan", Wills response was then Detroit. However, Paco asked a confusing word that the other people knew the answer that was Dictionary so Will had to give another letter for not knowing an answer and saying, "Pass". When Ryan gave the word(s) "twitter reply". Will didn't know what to respond with saying "Pass". The word was dimension however no one got it so Will didn't have to give a letter. -Sorry for being so confusing but I am sure I wasn't the only person who didn't understand the game at first-

@@AniketPatil16 so the person in the chair gives out the first letter of their word (let's say their word is cheese, so the letter c would be giving out). One person from the group chooses any word that starts with the letter c. So let's say one of the groups members word is chocolate. He would give a hint like candy. The group will now try to guess the word based off the hint. If they think they know it, they say contact. They count down and if they say the word he was thinking of. The person in the chair can guess the word if they know it and then one person from the group thinks of a different word that starts with the letter c, but if not then they pass, then the person in the chair has to tell them the next letter. Then they would have to use ch for the next word. So like Christmas and the hint would be merry. And so on

I LOVE Contact. Played it all the time in college lol. My friends and I would have two small differences though. First, we'd allow more than 1-word hints, and it would usually end up being a question or statement. If you're smart about it, it can throw off the person with the word while allowing the guessers to tailor their hints to diff members of their team. It can get cheap if you lean on too many inside jokes though (like if the word starts with M and Paco asks Ryan if it's where they hung out yesterday, assuming the two of them went to the Movies and no one else knew that). Just a cheap way to get a letter. The other (and more awesome) difference was that the second someone says "contact" both they and the person they contacted start counting backwards from 5, so the person with the word is under pressure to try and block even faster. If they can't make a guess during the countdown/guess wrong, then the contactER and contactED person say the word they have in mind as always. It gets intense because those "5 seconds" are never actually 5 seconds lmao. So the contacter and contacted are SCREAMING and counting down as fast as they can, then the person with the word is flying through words in their head to try and make a good guess.

Okay so here's what I understand; • It's a 1 vs TEAM game. Let's call the 1 person, "IT". • So "IT" thinks of a word. "IT" also tell what category it is. And TEAM needs to figure out the word. "IT" reveals first letter. (Ex. The word is "Snake". Category, animal. First letter: S) • So TEAM needs "IT" to reveal more letters so it's easier to figure out the word "IT" Thought about. • One person in TEAM says a word. For example, I'm thinking of WIZARD, so I say; HARRY POTTER. When someone in TEAM says; CONTACT!, "IT" gets a chance to BLOCK (BLOCK meaning, "IT" guesses the word I'm thinking about: WIZARD). If "IT" fails to BLOCK, TEAM gets a chance. (If "IT" does BLOCK, then "IT" doesn't need to reveal anything). If someone in TEAM says; WIZARD in unison, then "IT" needs to reveal the second letter. If TEAM says; HERMIONE, which said word isn't the word I was thinking of, then "IT" doesn't need to reveal the next letter. • This goes on until someone in TEAM figures the word out.
