For anyone interested in buying that toaster, please don't. High temperatures can seriously damage touch screens, and, like Mama Maples said, the toaster just runs on a timer, it doesn't actually control the toast levels of the bread. So, it's really just a product that a) doesn't do what it claims to do and b) is going to break much faster than a regular toaster while c) being 10x the price. Not all things that look cool are actually cool, so make sure to shop smart everyone!

45 minutes is crazy. The last time I made homemade butter, I just put whipping cream in the blender for 2-3 minutes til it separated, strained the butter through a cheesecloth, and washed it in ice water. Whole process took five minutes start to finish, and the butter was amazing. I feel like the churn is only necessary if you're living off the grid and don't have electricity. Or a grocery store.

Butter Making Expert here (I learned this on a farm and have tested it with a class of 4th grade children, so it is indeed childs play kind of easy): If you want to make butter yourself, use whipping cream, put it in a Mason Jar, and... shake it. I swear to god, just shake it. It will take about 5min, yes, it is somewhat exhausting, but also so so satisfying. And it sure doesn't take 45min lmao. I use this technique if I want to make herb butter as the soft butter you get when freshly made is perfect for mixing in the herbs right away.

This video was a gadget redemption & total breath of fresh air. Something that pisses me off so bad about a lot of gadget review videos is when people don't use the products properly because they don't follow instructions, they watch a video once then don't follow the steps, change the steps & sometimes intentionally misuse products in a dramatic obnoxious way (sorry Roseanne & Justine) then tell people not to buy the product which can really screw over small businesses or when people say just use a knife, just use a hand whisk, just use...... not even considering some of these gadgets are made for people like me who are disabled & can't use traditional kitchen tools like everyone else. These lovelies have common sense & gave these items an honest shot instead of trying for 5 seconds & saying nope it doesn't work then deleting the comments calling them out or completely ignoring them

Just an FYI for anyone who wants to know or doesn't know. The numbers on your toaster do not have to do with the level of darkness. It is a timer. So momma Maples might have been on to something with the bagel. Toasting it for 2 minutes vs 7minutes might have been the same level because it was already warm.

@@Lemugisa Hmm I just recently bought it and still testing it out so will keep you posted… though I tried it with the Dole Whip soft serve mix (i saw on tiktok that disney uses this exact powder mix at their parks) which is dairy free i think, and it worked well! it doubled in size from syrupy liquid to fluffy sorbet consistency
@brynnc.12664 ай бұрын
@legumisa I have a ninja creami and it works fantastic for dairy free ice creams. Genuinely I love it and I don't mind having to freeze my pints. I've never had any issues with plastic shaving off like some people have, and churning ice cream can take fairly long. The ninja creami is 5 minutes or less
@Lemugisa4 ай бұрын
@@brynnc.1266 that's exactly why I was thinking on getting it! It's been years since I was able to eat ice cream because of all my food allergies, and it's tricky to find the best machine for all the substitutions I'll have to make ( also ninja is having a sale in my country so maybe it's the moment to get it). I read somewhere that the plastic shavings happen when the pint is not level, which makes sense, so it seems that if I use it correctly there shouldn't be any issues.

I have a butter churner and absolutely love it! So when you first start to do it to speed up the process put the cream in a bowl and whip it into whipped cream, then put it in the churner. You also have to turn the handle pretty fast to get the fat and the buttermilk to separate (I would recommend having a non-slip man underneath). Strain the buttermilk into a bowl (or sink, but I like to use the milk for cereal, baking etc). Since my churner is an antique, it came with 2 wooden paddles to shape the butter into a square. If you want the butter soft you can use it right after straining, but if you want the butter to be harder put it in the fridge for a couple of hours (I am not sure exactly how long because I leave it overnight). Overall I find it very fun to do,, but it is not time-effective because you can go to the shops and get butter but also you can just do it in a stand mixer as well. Hope this helps :)
