Its because people are going to buy it anyways. 2k started doing the same thing after NBA Live was notably inferior to 2k. All people have to do is not buy madden for a yr or 2 play the old one and they will improve the game

2k did so well on this, broadcasting was an A+, referee and player movements were amazing and ACTUALLY REALISTIC, crowd reactions were genuine and exciting, and damn…that halftime show will always be my favorite part of every game I played.

I just played NFL Gameday 04 by 989 Sports, and while the presentation and game play is far short of 2k5, it actually resembles 2k5's gameplay far better than Madden. By the way, PS2 Maddens from 2002-2008 were FIRE to begin with. I like the Xbox version of 2K5 because it has the ability to show actual highlights instead of just stills. But everything else is chef's kiss.

ESPN NFL 2K5 is way better on Xbox than it is on PS2. Putting that aside, I had a blast playing franchise mode for the 2014 NFL season as the Patriots and Eagles. Also it's far and away better than the current Madden games.

NFL 2k5 is an amazing game right after you posted this I was playing it with my dad and we had a blast. Trading for Dwight Freeney and Larry Fitzgerald and making our team amazing. Wyatt do yourself a favor and do a franchise on it man you wont regret it

I love that the mod came out where they updated the graphics a little bit and you can play with updated today's rosters on 2K5, but even without playing with updated rosters The rosters alone back then were amazing especially balling out with randy moss

Nfl head coach is such a good game. I have the 08 version so I cant testify about the 06 one you got. But it offers one of the most indepth and rewarding franchise modes ever made. I hope you enjoy it!

REPLAYS 8:30 fun fact. You said, you forgot to hit record. No worries. Did you know NFL2K5 saved EVERY SINGLE play of the game? You could've just went to PLAY by PLAY and replayed any play 🤷🏾‍♂️ NBA2K5 did this too. Matter fact, if you played the full 15m quarter's. When it goes to Halftime, it's the same length as the irl broadcast 😅 I used to do 12min qtrs and get the same experience. Now the fun part. When you play 15min qtrs in Franchise mode. The weekly highlights are way better. The best part is how the franchise mode develops towards the end of the season 🙌🏾 Hands down, nothing has touched NFL2K5 even in 2023 that game has updated rosters and still kills Madden.

the truth is the first person mode on 2k5 is one of the best simulators for quarterbacks on how to read defenses and adjust in real time. The first person mode will teach you to read the free safety or the rover and make the right decision.

Dude where is the new NFL 2K “arcade” game? They announced the partnership in March 2020. Then the game got delayed “past March 2022”… yet here we are in summer 2023. ZERO UPDATES. Is it going to be more in depth than we think?

The reason this has so much more you can do compared to modern games is because the gaming industry gaslit everyone into thinking removing features was "streamlining" when in reality they pushed graphical technology way farther than what most developers were capable of reasonably producing at the time. Corners had to be cut somewhere along the line, and that downward trajectory has basically continued ever since. But hey, we can give you back the shit you already should have had...as extra paid DLC content, of course...Living in the future, baby!

Bro there's also some more hidden advanced moves in the game. You had to use both triggers like from the original NFL2K. (Best ver. is Xbox ver. Not being biased. Sony was a port). 2K did a similar thing with Kobe in NBA2K10. In that game you must learn to use Kobe custom moves. Use the right stick FLICKS. Left, Right. L, R, R. R, L. etc. All the controls were touch sensitive. Spin's have different animations based on the meter gauge, and button sensitivity. My suggestion. Use Clinton Portis, Marshall Faulk, Ricky Williams, Edgerrin James, and Willis McGahee. Terrell Owens, Randy Moss, and Marvin Harrison. But especially TO for training. There's a lot of animations in 2K5.
