Hats of to you for this mammoth demo. I was pondering throwing my money at a double offer of 35% off with the added latest collaboration of sound with this company and NI. You have helped me decide and I am now a little poorer financially , but emotionally richer musically , thank you 😊

Thanks, Greg that was fantastic. I was on the fence with this software because no one did a good demonstration of it. I didn't realize how many great sounds it had in it. Wow, that like so great sounding and keeping in mind these are just the preset. I will be getting this ASAP and again great job and thanks.

The sounds are super unique and beautiful! Is this really only a specialized sound library, or could it also just be used for a traditional orchestral sample library?
@GregAllison3 жыл бұрын
I’ve had a few people ask. I personally like it for underscoring or long held out notes. Although, with layering the sustained sounds, you could very easily play it and compose as a traditional orchestral library.
@Scalms1913 жыл бұрын
Thanks for putting this together, very helpful. Is there a list somewhere of the instruments and their articulations (not the presets)? Oddly, Native Instruments doesn't put this in their description.
@GregAllison3 жыл бұрын
I don’t believe there is a list of the instruments/articulations. I think NI intended on the instrument to be played more for textures and sound design, instead of being played as an orchestral suite like Session Strings or Session Horns, etc.

@axel.lessio2 жыл бұрын
I'm very torn about this one, because I love how some of these presets sound, but I wonder if I should just learn to create these effects myself starting from the raw libraries. For now I'll use this video as an inspiration and if I like a texture I'll try to replicate it. If it turns out to be too hard, I'll just buy the damn thing. 😂

So I know you use the mod wheel to go through the 3 layers, but how would you (if there’s a way) change the velocity while recording with the controller? Or would you have to change that post recording?
@GregAllison3 жыл бұрын
I usually just played along as I blended in the multiple layers. I like playing with patches that expressively follow how I play, so I just play the keys a little harder as the patch evolves.

what is the inverted semi-circle (beneath the transition animation) - is this an expression fader? If so, were you playing all patches at a single, constant level of expression?
@GregAllison3 жыл бұрын
I may be wrong in this, but I believe it is the LFO amount which is tied to the oscillation that sweeps between the different sounds.
@RLeaguer_Saint3 жыл бұрын
@@GregAllison that’s the top semi circle, that moves with the mod wheel. The other one, inverted relative to this, seems like it’s expression?
@peter_gagliardi3 жыл бұрын
@@RLeaguer_Saint I just watched the NI Walkthrough - I think the bottom wheel is related to the FX mix.

Are these single loops/ samples Or can you play these like notes like a traditional synth. Im confused by the various videos, how much you can actually edit.
@GregAllison3 жыл бұрын
Hello! Some of these I play as 1 sustained note/Sample, but the majority I played as I would a traditional synth. I prefer to play chord progressions, so I leaned toward playing it with chord movement instead of just hitting one note and sustaining it.

Are you using a sustain pedal?

Yes! I play it as I would a traditional synth/keyboard.
