@@aresanok6899 you still have to consider the limitations if the engine and the work that they'd have to put into it to make the night maps a viable option. The only way i see it is that they'd have to make one map have different lighting presets to use as the day and night version, but I doubt it'd be possible. One of the reasons they removed night maps was because they were a different entity, a separate copy of one map with different lighting effects and sometimes map elements specific to a certain version. Essentially when they did a change to a map, even the smallest one, they had to do it once again on the night version and it took much more time than it should've

For me, it’s between Blood Orchard, Para Bellum, Wind Baston, Burnt Horizon, and Steel Wave. The biggest thing is, Ubisoft in year 7 and year 8 has ruined balancing. I said back in Y4S4 that at the rate in which they are nerfing operators, we will have people playing siege like COD search and destroy instead of using utility. We have reached that point. And they’ve gone from nerfing utility to nerfing recoil. Buffing is not in Ubisoft’s vocabulary.

i feel the game was definitely more realistic back then. Ive played since year two and cause of the lighting and recoil changes it feels like ubi has since dumbed down siege to make it more esports friendly and it kinda ruins the immersion for players who actually enjoyed the game for the game instead of its competitive nature. Some newer changes were positive like the 10 shared reinforcements but in recent times changes like consulate rework and the new maze like maps are not a step in the right direction.

Operation chimera is when i started playing r6 the thing is i got the disc of siege way before that I got it at the same time as when i bought overwatch at gamestop and the reason I bought r6 is cause it was on sale and i remember seeing only one cool clip of r6 and the destructibility of the walls and thought might as well get it since it was on sale but i held off playing with the game for a while cause i played overwatch a crud ton instead at the time, when ow started dying to me and i got bored of the games that i had at the time i unwrapped the wrapper of r6 and fell in love with the game, my dumb ahh didnt know better and forgot to get the free ash elite during that season 😂😭 and operation parabellum with maestro and alibi was so peak to me the smgs the operators the lighting man i wish i could turn back time to play o.g siege with my pals one more time again back then it felt like the devs were so invested into the game and loved developing it mannn they were releasing banger after banger after banger of each of the seasons each year until operation nokk and warden but yea now a days the passion and love of the devs for the game is not so much compared to back then they improved the game in some ways and ruined it in others I still love siege rn but dang they really need to fix their ximmer and cheating issues its getting worse and worse if they fix that and the hit box reg issues and bring back night maps/a bit of the old lighting I'll be happy

I'm so pissed off. This man just hears perfect audio and calls it trash. You could hear everything clearly and from correct direction back then but he is so used to this trash audio that we have now. Now you can full sprint with ash at someone and they will be lucky if they hear you the moment you cross the doorway and kill them. Even when they do hear you comming it's propably playing from wrong direction because sound "found the shortest patch through some hole". Also the audio mix itself is garbage, ambient sounds or gadget noises (like jager ADS or mute jammers) are lauder than footsetp 2m away from you but if someone 3 rooms away and one store above gets on cams or drone you will hear that for some reason. With old audio you had to actualy play stealthy to not get detected and you could gain so much information from sound alone to make good decisions. Gunfights were about outsmarting your oponents, you could use sound to bait them. Sprintig was a death sentance because everyone around could hear that and be prepared for you. Avarage player was spending most of the round crouch walking. Sprint was used either by noobs or very epirienced players that knew what they were doing and when they can do it. That's why rounds were slower and more tatical back then, even tho movement and leaning were much faster. Meanwhile these guys run around the smalest map in the game and wonder why they can hear each other. Sound system we have right now is the cause of this TDM meta and no amount of slowing down movement, leaning and making every opaerator 1 speed is going to change that if you can run around the map like a moron and no one can tell where exactly you are bacuse they will just hear you from the nearest door or hole.

My favorite season was either Red Crow or when Maverick was added. The gunplay still felt snappy, the movement was not spastic like it was in Y1 or now, it just felt good to play the game. I know it's an old video, but I wanted to add some input. Now we have New Blood that completely sucks. Reworked ,,recruits", boring/bad skins, hackers (still common)... I didn't had a chance to play Siege in this versions because I started about 3 yrs ago. I see that ADS time was 10 times quicker. I don't really understand why they made all guns & everything feel so slow. I can understand the quick leaning being deleted, but this? Now every gun ADS feels like it weights 10 kg. If this would be made in realistic way, that heavier guns like MG/LMG or long rifles like FAL or some sniper rifles ADS is slower & in case of scopes penalized when you move (IRL in case of scopes you need to perfectly align your head with the scope to have a good visual) then this would make sense. Now they just nerfed everything & called it a day to the point, that you need to be pre-aimed when entering locations what makes player slow. This devs just don't know what they are doing. If I can be faster in airsoft then in game, then something is wrong with the game - specially in CQB so like in Siege.

Para bellum is the season i started playing siege. Loved the way the game felt back then. Just the look of the game the darker more realistic feel and the maps before the reworks just had so much more life. Especially house and chalet. Hereford base actually was better before the rework. Sure you only had 1 staircase, which definitely was a slight problem when defending on hereford base with all of the very predictable engages and super short range gun fights. But back when I used to be up to date in that game and rather good at it, there were plenty of ways to move not only through hatches but also over the outside. The run out timers really made rotating over the outside possible. Due to all the outside walls you could even run out through that wooden wall in that tiny all destructable room and jump into garage quickly while barely getting spotted so that enemies notice it quickly enough. You can then flank people in garage and the rooms nerby since impact nades were already a thing back then and garage and the rooms nearby were very destructable. Both of the rooms had very desirable hatches and a ladder giving defenders, when also considering the crouch wall next to the main door and also below a window you could just jump out of + another one I dont know the rooms name of which also has a destructable wall, 5 alternative ways of getting back into the basement quickly not even including the stairs. IMO Hereford Base was reasonably balanced but definitely extremely heavily reliant on run outs and spawn kills. I'd definitely agree to that.

I would love to watch a video of you playing every season of siege I just think it would be really fun and cool watching the growth of siege cause demon veil was my first season and I just recently got back into siege when heavy metal came out so I wanna see everything I missed in that time frame and everything before demon veil

One thing I do really miss about siege is the old ads animation, it doesn't feel like a grandma adsing because of the curve animation. The time to ads from sprinting on old animation is supposedly slightly slower than the nerf after ember rise. Now it is even slower but that ads animation would def make the game feel better ngl
