If I were to start a new game I would go as far as I can with 6-stars, then as far as I can with 7-stars, then start making NV. Have fun!

Interesting, then I could experience some of the bosses at a more challenging difficulty. I tried using the story cast for a bit, but they took a long time to kill things xD. I'm also enjoying the season 1 story quite a bit, so I wanted to push through it to see all the reveals :p

This is actually great advice for people starting now. This way you can experience The peaks in power level at a similar way longtime players did. The problem with ffbe now is that there is soooo much to do and learn that it may overwhelm new players.... Hell, it even overwhelmed me, a global release player, especially when NV came along and WOTV released. But it's a great game that brings that classic final fantasy nostalgia. 😁👍

FFBE can be really fun at time, especially if you're just starting with content you haven't done before. The only thing that turns me away is finding a method or using a method rather to chain attacks, because from when I played there is a HUGE difference in combat mechanics if you're someone who doesn't chain vs someone who can chain consistantly.

Yeah from what I understand chaining is a huge part of the endgame, but apparently they have made some aspects easier than it used to be. I guess I'll have to review that part of the game when I get to it.

For new players, FFBE is going to be amazing. A veteran, I missed that feeling having so many contents to look to forward to. It will probably take you around 1 year to catch up on current trials because of equipments and materia unless you're a huge whale. Upcoming trials for the next few months are going to be hard to clear and have turn requirement on their missions.

Yeah I'll definitely be f2p, at least until I see if I commit to the game. At which point I'm happy to spend and support it. I'm in the honey moon phase right now, but I'm genuinely enjoying the story more than most gacha games I've played, so thats a great sign.

I have been playing since the first anniversary. I’d say you can catch up. It would take time to get gear, that will be bottle neck for a little while . Just make sure you have all of your basic roles like tanks , healers etc to progress

I remember bonus exp(catus)/ currency (turtle)event on weekends. When you first start off have about 4hrs free and keep hitting the same events over and over again, you will have a stupid amount of stamina. You will need these for later

To be honest they give you so many turtles and cactuars now through the weekly events, gil and xp have never been an issue for me

So back in the day we used to trust Mastery farm with macro programs frep bluestacks etc I always said that's far more valuable than any unit. With good gear and a good understanding of chaining you can beat anything I say focus on 5 star tickets and trust Mastery farming. Somewhere along the line focus on maxing your level for more energy after that you should have enough energy where you can collect every reward from doing events and at that point it just becomes a collect your favorite unit and do story game.

Thanks for the comment, I remember watching my older brother run a macro for TMs and I didn't understand why (I hadn't stared playing gacha games at the time). This is good advice, if people scout out the good 5* TMRs and STMRs it can make a big difference when their account is ready to tackle tougher content.

I play both FFBE & WOTV & really enjoy both. I wouldn't recommend rerolling for a NV unit since the NV rate is only 2%, unless you really like the unit. The Christmas banner out now is a great opportunity for new players to start as it has a high rainbow (5*) rate for the featured units. The pool includes damage dealers, good starting tanks that will be useful in clearing the earlier trials, & a good breaker who can be NV awakened.

just look at brave frontier, thats the future of brave exvius, back on the day you didnt have to do all those crazy chain to be able to clear content, it was a bonus feature, nowdays some content are undoable unless you perfectly chain abilities and i dare to say in the future it will be exactly like brave frontier nowdays where you cant even see the abilities and animations clearly bcs of the screen pollution

To let you know the computer ai or the game developer cheats in this game: they called it the intense damage threshold - too overpowerful that your unit with 5000 defense can't handle the circumstances.

Installed this game 2 days ago, got 2B and A2 from nier automata collab and I'm pure shit at the game. I love the sprites, as an ex brave frontier player, the amount of details in the units is insane compared to other pixel art games.

100% it's a LOT but I promise if you stick with it, it does eventually become fairly simple. The depth in this game is hard to match. That, and FF units, is why I'm so into it.

Loremaster Mysidia coming soon? :) I actually started playing wotv just because I heard it will occur in the same world as ffbe but then I fell in love with the game and now I'm playing two. Good thing wotv is more of an auto game most of the time so I can play both. (Wotv spoiler if you aren't updated on the story please don't click more) When you said the thing about Rain and Lasswell being visions. I was surprised when the Rundall king summoned Veritas of Light. I wonder if she is the same in ffbe and if the connection between the two games run deeper. The story of ffbe seems confusing at first but connects and wraps it all in the end rather well. I hope wotv is too.

@@arkgustav9524 If she gets a Neovision Awakening in the future she'd be worth it potentially (I think she might). Otherwise it's your call. You need a dupe to awaken her to 7* so if you have one go for it! Or you can use 8 Unit of Choice tickets to grab her prism and awaken her that way.

Hi sir should I also focus on Rain and Laswell and don't roll and save up my Tickets Especially the NV ones? Because for me Ashe is given for free when you start the game and I guess lightning too. Yeah definitely just hang on to stuff for now. You can get a LOT of lapis from doing the story so you will just be able to pull on banners for a long time to come, filling out the roles you need on your account. But you also get lots of free pulls over time so it's best to wait to see if you fill some of those roles naturally.

This is a game of patience unfortunately. You will get a lot of 5* tickets over time through the events :)

I don’t know man… I’ve just recently came back to the game after about 4 years of not touching it and I just don’t feel like I can really do anything. All of the events and challenges in the game that are actually worth doing are impossible, my team gets one shotted constantly, I have managed to get a bunch of new units but apparently according to the many different tier lists I’ve looked through none of them are really worth my already scarce enhancement materials and even if they were I still don’t have the proper gear to make them viable since all of the good gear is locked behind the very same missions that I can’t do or TMR’s of units that I don’t even have. I don’t know which unit chains with what anymore and even if I did I’d still probably need to ascend a couple of units to 7 stars just so I could unlock those “chainable” abilities.it seems like the only thing I can really do is continuing the story but it’s been so long now that I don’t even remember WTF is going on over there which makes it very not interesting. I honestly feel a little overwhelmed by all of this… I really want to come back to the game, I know how fun it could be, I remember I used to have a blast with the game back in the day but I’m not sure if I can now… any tips for how can I get back on my feet would be highly appreciated😅👍 maybe I should just start fresh?

4 years is a long time, the game is completely different now! Honestly it's probably best to start a fresh account and take advantage of the new player bonuses. Don't get discouraged, FFBE is an investment of time, but I've had multiple new players on my discord that started working on harder content surprisingly fast. If you have specific questions my discord (discord.gg/DVzmw9n) has a FFBE help channel and just a regular FFBE channel where you can chat with other players :)

The thing I hated most in FF7 are the long summon animations. This game suffers from the same. And overall it's not a good look to have an old style graphics and then those fancy ass 3d animations come on top of it!

Did you switch appstores? Apple appstore, google play, and amazon appstore can all download the game but they dont share currency. Your currency would be there if you log in from the first store that you downloaded the game from

Where is the best place to farm 6 star awakening materials

If you do the Besaid King Mog event you can buy all the 6 and 7 star materials in batches of 100, super easy to get. If you go to Special Shop in the shop menu and scroll right you will also find a Gil shop and you can buy all the 6 and 7 star mats for gil. No need to farm them :)

Kingdom hearts is gone. Which sucks because the units rock. But it may return one day. Full Metal Alchemist is currently running and the Elric Brothers are available and amazing

Not too late to start. Storyline is great. Music is great. Powercreep is too real though. So new player can pretty much skip most of the useless units that veteran had to go through and go straight for neo vision….

Example they made sephiroth 7 star. Then decide to make a new sephiroth that is NV…. They made Esther 7 stars, I got so much copies of her hoping she get upgraded to NV. They decided to make a brand new Esther for NV… so yeah it’s not too late to star because new players can just go straight into NV.

Sounds good, but without knowing what they are its hard to give any advice. I will say that you're fine to keep the account either way and just enjoy the story etc.

I think so. There is a lot of great QOL in the game after 5 years and I personally really enjoy the story. You can skip straight to season 4 now and power up a free Rain Neovision unit which is great. If you have questions hop on my discord and I can help you out!

The new player bonuses, summons, and bingo boards have been updated, but the attitudes and advice in the videos are still valid. Basically, you're not in a rush. You can clear story with anything and you can start to clear events quickly with whatever NVs you have. It's only the competitive content that takes awhile to get into. But you can basically save up lapis for when you're ready to enter the meta and the more patient you are, the more useful stuff you'll just off banner for your account in the meantime.

Sorry but this is not a beginners guide. I am in 7 minutes of your video and i have like 3 hours already played the game and i still do not have any clue what you are talking about. Beginner is someone who have no clue about the ingame terminology you are using. Maybe you should start with very basics if you want to name it beginner tutorial. I start to do Event like you adviced and in first turn i received overkill in form of milion of damage.

I hate this game. I played it for more than a year since release and eventually returned around the time Chair Rain or King Rain unit came and eventually dropped it again. The powercreep in this game is so fast and lots of trash 3* 4* units. I didnt experience NV but im sure i will hate it even more. I think they are running out of ideas, even copying wotv's vision card style system, lol. I would rather much play again Dragalia Lost or Another Eden than this game. I love wotv, but not this. I would rather farm mats in wotv than this. Sorry Mysidia but i plainly hate this game.

I appreciate your honesty, this is in line with how I've heard others talk about the game too. We'll have to see if I get to that point when I reach endgame content, but for now I'm just really enjoying the music, story, and characters!

@@mysidia the story is good, no doubt about it. It's just the fast paced power creep, endless grinds that made me burn out and never came back the third time around. It just didnt work out for me and i did not feel any enjoyment from it anymore so i left and never turned back. But if i was going to recommend a story driven pve gacha game atm, it would be Another Eden. If you want old school type of jrpgs in the 90s, try it, it is heavy in story but it's amazing even the side quests are very entertaining, some stories are tear jerker, funny or intense with action. It's lead by Masato Kato, the reason behind Chrono Trigger. I just left it since i focused on wotv more but i can go back anytime since it doesnt have time gated events except banners, no limited time units. Collabs are permanent, they had Persona 5 collab before and now they have Tales collab with Cress, Velvet etc. All these collab units are free and permanent so you dont have to rush. The gacha is where it needs improvement though since it has 1% rate only and no pity system. But if you have some money to spend, they have cheap packs that can guarantee a 5* even the occasional selector for units every 3 to 4 months as well..

To be fair I sort of agree, Aldore King Rain stayed as a relevant damage dealer for easily 4 months+ when he came out, that is like a unicorn in the meta today (except for Ibara because her damage was bugged, halloween unit and still relevant) this is very much due to Dark visions though so if you only care about trials the powercreep isn't as bad.

@@Mrollllf i disagree dude, you can use old characters to clear a lot of content, but you WILL struggle very hard, even more if you dont have good gear(wich imo are more important than some characters), not to mention it takes forever to progress through the story and get all the visiore from the quests to the point the game become a chore instead of game you play for fun, the lack of some qol features too really hurt BE, as much as wotv is SUPER ULTRA GRINDY at least they have the majority QOL to make the grinding bearable, something BE dont have and probably will never have since gumi ignored the players for years towards this subject, not to mention the satisfaction of building a character and then the same character get a AWESOME new version some time later , tbh investing so much time on BE is one of my biggest disapointments towards gaming, when i left it felt so good and opened my eyes to not have this kind of experience with any gacha game ever again
